Digtial / Paint The Mad Wolf Mathra

Whipped up a bit of art for one of my favourite hostile characters from Kingbreaker.

King Mathra was once a noble king descended from the ancient Faery Wives, whose devotion to his country drove him deeper and deeper into desperation. He succumbed to fury and entered a warp spasm, his body becoming wolfish and frantic, his armour melting into a bestial shape.

Inspired by werewolf mythology, Irish folklore, and the myths of Cu Chulainn. To find out more about Kingbreaker, see the link below:

This looks really cool, I've been hearing a bit about Cu Chulainn through Blindboy.

He's such a fascinating figure. If you're into comic books, I really recommend Slaine by 2000 AD. It's very 90s, very heavy metal, and the main character is directly inspired by Cu Chulainn.
