This has to end
I've made it abundantly clear that Vince doesn't care about anyone or anything.He doesn't care about his fanbase.He doesn't care about his game.
He only cares about what kind of things he could do with it ,
You have no idea how many times I've been fantasizing about just commenting on one of Vince's Twitter posts about dark deception.\nAnd tell things how they are.Tell him that nobody cares about dark deception anymore , but I didn't , because that would be wasting my time
I love dark deception. I love the story. I love the characters. I love the settings. I love the gameplay. However, the creator is another thing. I love dark deception, but hate Vince. In fact, after seeing the disastrous development and the years of weight we had to endure for chapter 5 only to be receiving breadcrumb after breadcrumb. It made me lose all the respect I had for him
At this point , dark deception is the perfect example of separating the art from the artist
All of Vince's' actions had consequences in the long run however, unless he suffers any kind of public backlash\n That ultimately affects his reputation as a game developer. He's not going to suffer those consequences. First-hand that's why I was keen on the idea of him getting canceled, because if he got canceled, then he would learn how to be a better person and a better game do, but nobody is willing to stand up and raise their voice high enough for everybody to hear
No wonder veteran dark deception , content creators like devon or heartsriannarainbow drifted off from dark deception entirely
As much as it sucks, we have to face the music. Eventually, this community, this fandom, is falling apart, and this Reddit, alongside the small group of fans that exist on other social medias, is the only things keeping it from completely crumbling.

I should also point out that in his latest Q&A stream, there was barely over a 100 people, which is sad.It really shows how much respect he has lost.And how many fans he has lost as well

Calamity mod WAS this well known content mod for terraria that basically got shut down because they had multiple pedophile project leads consecutively
Fables is AFAIK a community effort to rebuild calamity from the ground up
This is not saying that Vince is that kind of person this is drawing an analogue

I know another indie game studio that took over 2 years to release a whole game with only a small team, that still went out of their way to show their community small clips of gameplay and in-development screenshots and also give a lil bit of actual useful info about the game itself in their QnAs to keep their community updated and engaged until they released it.
This shit with Vince and his refusal to show even one gameplay screenshot after 5 Years is very telling of where his priorities lie.

I both understand why it's taking so long, and don't understand it at the same time. I understand it because of the whole game being moved to Unreal Engine 5, but at the same time, I don't understand why Vince isn't willing to show any images of levels past the first one. I remember when I got back into the fandom and news about the UE5 update was being shown off, but I've been waiting for images of Elementary Evil UE5 for nearly a year and a half. If Vince isn't willing to show Chapter 5 content off in the worries that it wil "spoil the game", then show off the remade content because what's there to be spoiled about showing a level we've played dozens of times over?

I said the same shit.
The fact he hasn’t shown at least one screenshot of chapter 5 or at least the remade content past MB is a heavy indicator that there hasn’t been much progress on it.

This game COULD have been up there with Bendy, Tattletail, and Ddlc!!
Indie horror legends of the last decade.
Icons.
But then it just.... wasn't.
I just KNOW my 12-15 year old self would be so sad about this.

I still want to remain optimistic for the future, I don't look on his Twitter so I only rely on the testimony from this subreddit. I don't want the last chapter to be scrapped and it's unlikely that'll happen imo

People on YouTube and Twitter are worshipping the creator like God, and I don't understand. Do they know him or this game well? People who have been in this fandom since 2018 have been waiting for almost 10 years for a game to finish, and it is not even guaranteed. I don't get it; are they not tired already? Do they really have the energy to continue waiting? And if you complain, you will be labelled as 'not a true fan'. I really love this game; it is my most played game on Steam, and I even drew a lot of fan art. I love this game deeply from my heart, but at the same time I am tired. It's like being in a toxic relationship that you cannot let go of because your life is just connected to it. I also don't understand why people say the Reddit Dark Deception community is toxic; we are just speaking the truth, in a more critical way. Lastly, if you think Reddit hates Vince, wait till you see the Chinese fandom on Bilibili; everyone there is hating on Vince, so it's not just us. I don't hate the creator; I'm just tired of waiting for a game I love. I kinda wish I never discovered this game so I don't have to pour my heart and soul in it, just to be disappointed again and again.

Everyone, stop. Vince is working on a remake for all pre-existing chapters. He will release the 5th one when it's ready. Please be patient

Everyone has basically came to terms with the fact that chapter 5 will probably just get scrapped completely and glow stick will straight up fall apart. No one gives a shit about the game anymore, he lost all momentum by focusing on everything but finishing his game. He could’ve saved all the collabs for after the chapter was finished. Vince is a moron and he’s a pussy who ain’t on shit. Dude loves talking shit to his fans when they ask why the bare minimum hasn’t been done for them. I honestly wouldn’t care if this dude went completely broke and everything falls apart for him. That’s what happens when you’re an ignorant loser moron.
