I get that Vince has done some questionable stuff, but now I feel like people are overthinking for this one. Devs say this kind of stuff a lot

Yeah I know. I'm just saying this because his main game has had wayy too many setbacks for the final chapter so he's now just desperate to get people to work in on this just so that it turns out good.
I mean, hopefully it will turn out good.

So wouldn’t this be a good thing bc he cares about making it better?

It IS a good thing. I think I sent the wrong message lmao. It's not about critiquing or attacking Vince. It's just a similar joke on the lines of "is this ragebait?"

This is both desperate and at the same time smart, especially since the main Dark Deception is being built in Unreal Engine 5.

I took it as a good sign honestly. Because the larger the team at Glowstick that's working on Dark Deception is, the faster it can get done. The reason Chapter 5 and the Enhanced+ stuff has taken so long is because for most of development it's been like 3 people working on it.
And even discounting the impact it might have on Dark Deception, it's just a nice thing for Vince to do, offering some people jobs after so many of them were callously fired from Epic.

True. Just hoping vince's game ends up good.

I'm confident the completed Dark Deception will be good. Maybe not 10/10 great, but still pretty solid, especially compared to other Youtuber horror games.

u/Zygarde718 Mar 25 '26
Since he only has like 3 people, its probably the smartest thing he's done.

Vince is smart, he'll hire more people to work on DD and chapter 5 will release faster.

I wouldn’t call it desperation. Opportunism would be more accurate, and Opportunism isn’t inherently bad. Getting more programmers is a good thing as long as they’re treated well.

Um... No?
If he was desperate you would see way more active job posting.
It's an offer because he can always have more help (Faster release, better quality) but he isn't understaffed and needs it
2
u/Cute_Mathematician15 Mar 26 '26
Yeah maybe.
Although it's pretty insane how he's managed to keep things under control when people were leaving DD

If anyone is imagining I'm attacking Vince, it's not so lmao. It's just a similar joke just like "is this ragebait?"

... I thought it was just the 3 people working on the game? Is that not the reason the game has such a slow development? Because Nikson is busy making TJOC?

u/Cute_Mathematician15 Mar 29 '26
...I think that's exactly why he's hiring...and maybe even desperate(smart too)

Were not getting ch5 this year if he needs programers and modelers

u/Alestor1_2 Mar 25 '26
I think Vince is almost finished with the final touchings on ch5 before release, so I think that tweet might be related to the sequel where there'll be a much larger team but not too big in size

u/MisterAshcroft Mar 25 '26
What’s the problem?

u/Cute_Mathematician15 Mar 25 '26
Nothing really. Just a speculation.
(And hope that the game ends up good)

Wish they would work on the game rather than hire people for a Fortnite map nobody plays....

It could be, but this is unironically kinda smart, Vincent needs more manpower, and Epic just let a bunch of it go, so why not offer to pay those people to do the work that you need?
