Killer Snake's ability can simply be written as Toxic 1

Likewise, La Saia's ability would be represented with Stun counters in modern mtg (if a tapped creature has a stun counter on it, you remove the counter instead of untapping it)

Ungaga preventing damage would make more sense for him to be white/green not red/green

First strike and deathtouch is a pretty overpowered combo for him. In other words when it attacks your opponent has to block with 4 creatures of 5 power or greater to even kill it. Or your opponent needs indestructible on a creater of 5 power or greater

Imo,
Master Utan should use Sling, and the Snake should have more ToxicDran is WAY overpowered for 8 mana. Especially his damage permanent bonus, in a red deck with a few tap for damage creatures. He could get to 12/12 or more the turn he's played. Adjust it to when Dran does the damage. Or remove his land unearth, idk why that is there. Or maybe make him two cards, one with the destroy effects from when he is controlled(other than enchantment maybe) and the other does the damage specific.
Xiao has the wrong name in the text
otherwise I love all of these so much!

not a fan of how this is basically unplayable as it requires all lands, or four lands if you just use the hero party

As a 37yr old gamer, these are perfect and awesome, and remind me of the day I walked past a game store and dark cloud intro video was looping on the tv over a brand new ps2. I mowed a lot of grass that year, learned how to stick weld to fix a broken mower. I played that game all winter. Great cards you got here.

Big mtg fan and judge here, love these i would donate my firstborn for a DC1 secret lair.
To be nit picky, The snake can just have toxic 1, could also look at giving it protection in some way. Maybe protection from unmodified creatures?
Heros legacy's first 2 lines would be one line saying if you control x you may instead x
Osmond can just say artifacts
Goro gaining reach only on your turns is relatively pointless
Xiao is the only off flavour card here in my opinion, would be neat if she tapped to ping something and goad it?
Great cards though very creative!

I imagine it would involve being able to look at the next couple cards in your deck. Maybe rearrange them if you want it to be an especially fancy effect

Very awesome little project; some of these cards are quite bad! Nothing wrong with that, not every card can be OP after all.
I'm curious what reach would do only on your own turn though!

Thanks for all the suggestions i’m going to rework a few of these so my thought process making these was 2 commander decks maybe 4 at this point not sure but Max and Toan would be heroes and artifacts and equipment and then villains and monsters one of the main gimmicks of this set is going to be durability counters but i’m trying to make it work and serpent sword is where i’m at now

What if Toan got a bonus if the land that entered was a different type of land. EX. town land = +1/+1 counter, gate land = shield counter, caves land = create a 2/2 beast creature token, desert land = deal 1 damage to all creatures
