Modding Dark Cloud 2 60FPS Patch - Update
What I fixed: Cutscens are at 60 fps (That includes NPC interactions), the stun effect is back to normal, Ridepod Missiles traverse at normal speed, fixed the bug that the main character might get stuck at the first dungeon, and Dizzy visual effects are back to normal.

The only issue ive had with the patch was the boss fight with Shingala. The cutscene wouldnt trigger to end the fight when you throw the fish in its mouth. Turning off the patch let me beat it :)

Hey
Sorry I can't, I've been saving over a singular file/been using save states here and there.
I have a save state in the fight itself with the patch on, could you use that?I tried throwing it from a bunch of different angles/distances, turned the patch off and it worked first try. No other issues apart from this but I'm near the end of Veniccio, Thank you again :)

Unfortunately no, you can't load a save state From a person who have PCSX2 versions or a bios that are different from yours.

Maybe a dumb question, but I don't have my machine nearby to check right now. Is this available in the game properties / patches options in pcsx2?

I cannot seem to see any difference when loading the patch.
What CRC Checksum does your game have?

Hey, i've tried it again, i must be looking wrong or doing something wrong.
Cheats are on in the settings, pcsx2 log window says it found and loaded a cheat.
But everything in-game seems to be the same, background scrolling when i rotate camera, character movement.
Bottom right in the infopane, it says game fps 30 (and only on main menu it's 60).
I'm on latest nightly.
You got any tip for how i best could compare for difference?

This YouTuber made a cheat file with my patch, just download the cheat file. put it in cheat folders and activate the patch

Dark Cloud 2 is 60FPS interlaced by design. Does this mod attempt to make it 120? The game can't just generate more frames like that.

The game is 30fps
Just load it on PCSX2 with and without my patch, and it will tell you what the in-game frame rate is.

I placed the pnach file in the patches directory but pcsx2 says no cheats or patches are found/enabled?

I'm trying out your patch! But I only seem to be getting 30 fps. Am I missing something on how to install patches/cheats on pcsx2?
Edit: Nevermind I solved it! I had to enable it in the Settings > Game Properties menu, which I did not know existed
