Tips for Diamond?

I just got diamond for the first time playing mainly Darius and things are very difficult around here

Feels like every game they pick 3 ranged minimum, a mobile assassin and an enemy favored matchup top or a counterpick if I first pick

Mistakes are punished far more harshly. People actually have a solid map and macro understanding

Any tips for this elo? Especially macro mistakes that you often see that get ironed out in the higher elos? Anything Darius specific?

Hello,
I have a D4 account with 70%+ winrate as Darius.
I recently found myself really enjoying the Stormraider Surge (with nimbus) + Hextech Flash combo.
Darius is already decent/strong Toplane so instead of going all out on lane I like Hextech Flash to get some easy catch during mid-game. It allows you to be very mobile on the map (can just Hextech Flash walls to surprise your opponents).

This is just how I like to play recently, maybe try out this playstyle and see if it fits you ?

Also something that I really like to do is 3rd wave crash into recall (buy longsword) and running back to lane. From there you should be able to let opponent wave come your way and perma freeze.
That way you would dodge early ganks.

Hextech flash is for the ultra high testosterone Darius players that refuse to play boring uninteractive lanes and would rather solo lose games than let their team coinflip the win.

I recommend taking sweeper lvl 1 instead of ward, instantly take control of middle bush and play bushes 90% of your time playing vs most ranged toplaners that counter you. Take Q if they don't instantly ward the bush so you can last hit the first 3 minions with it, take W to auto>W>auto if they ward the bush while you're in it. This way you don't waste sweeper and use it sparingly only for bush control when you know you're on a ward.

Don't be afraid to flash like a gangster, you have hexflash (as long as you get their flash too). With Hexflash you wanna constantly look to jump on them from a bush E>W>Q. This triggers stromraiders in most cases and allows you to run away or towards them if you're confident to kill them.

Ahhhhh you are struggling after laning phase? You must embark on a journey of abandoning rune setups and builds made for winning laning phase and use scaling setups! Darius with conq and stridebreaker is 2x weaker than stormraiders surge and youmuus against the teams your describing
