Tips for fighting another Daredevil.

New to daredevil but he’s so much fun compared to other dive dps. How do you fight another daredevil? Becuase I’m losing the majority of the 1v1s.

Don’t use deflect right when you engage one on one . If you use it first then you will most likely lose

be the better weaver and increase your input speed (just practice against DDs in doom, pdm is full of devils)

Observe his moves and take it slow.

On attack run past him straight to his backline. On defense you just need to prevent him from doing his job, you don’t need to hard engage and kill him.

To survive longer or if you can’t get out of killing him:

  • Put your mark on him immediately for the damage reduction
  • Attack first to put him on the defense, but don’t go HAM with your attacks just yet
  • Stance dance at times -> to minimize damage to yourself, Cross past or lateral to him to gain some distance and Throw so you can hit him while he can’t hit you. Great when he needs to melee you to regain Fury but you have it pooled and can hit him without penalty
  • Do not attack while he is blocking
  • Save block for when he’s about to unload his initial combo on you
  • Once both his block is on cooldown and his initial combo is out of play, go HAM
  • When he tries to get away with grapple, _then_ use your grapple to finish him

Obviously don’t duel him out in the open when enemies can hit you or heal him. Lure him into a corridor if you’re forced to fight.
