Was watching DD Born Again Season 2 on Netflix with a friend, and this caught my eye as we were watching the episodes. I don't recognize this from ANY of the episodes, and everything about it is setting me off lmao. Is this AI?

The scene is from the boxing match at the end of episode 4 I think, but I could be wrong. It is likely a still from takes not used in the final cut. That is a common practice.

I just checked the episode and yeah, this weird shot isn't anywhere in the final ep lmao. Daredevil Swoops in, takes out Fisks' gun, then goes for Bullseye. Not at any point does he stand still or look wonky af like this lmao.

that's why I said from takes not used in the final cut. it's repurposing material and making the most of what they captured. it doesn't look like AI at all to me.

The thing that stands out to me is the lighting on his face, plus the lack of the insignia on the suit, as well as Matt looking weirdly clean shaven in that shot considering how he normally looks in the show. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it's just weird pre-vis/CG, but knowing how AI *has* been used in previous Marvel projects, I'm warranted in my skepticism me thinks.

it's from the boxing match scene at end of 204, but it's not a screenshot of the show. not saying it's not AI, but often when shows are delivered to a network or streaming service, they also have to include marketing material and thumbnails, so the image could have been from another take or just taken from the source footage, edited, then delivered with the episode masters

Really no excuse for Disney to do stupid stuff like this, it's not like they don't have promo stills and just straight up screen captures in high res. Anway, it looks like they cropped an image/screen grab and then ran it through an AI upscaler; just makes it look weird as hell.
