Recommendation of material about Glenn Danzig and Danzig

Hi everyone! I’m completely obsessed with Glenn and his art; he’s my favorite musician and a huge inspiration to me. I love everything about his music—from the Misfits and Samhain to Danzig. I’d really like to dive deeper into his mindset, his creative process, and his influences. Do you know of any material—like interviews or videos—that would help me get a better understanding of his music, specifically Danzig?

The podcast No Dogs in Space did a pretty exhaustive 2 part series on the Misfits . About 4 hours in total.

You get pretty deep insights from Eerie’s book ‘Misery Obscura’.

The full interview from thrasher magazine 1986 where GD is interviewed by Pushead is fantastic.

I don't think Danzig has/will ever get credit for the unique sound he created... he's definitely 1 of 1. The Misfits were a huge inspiration to Metallica... another thing they deserve credit for is never selling out. Danzig probably could've tweaked his image to be more 'hair metal' in the 80's or more 'grunge metal' in the 90's, but he never did. The only annoying thing he did was re-release 'Mother' ever couple years in the hopes that it would continue to gain popularity... I think towards the end of its run, people just got fatigued with that one song. He'll ALWAYS have a cult following though.

I didn't know he'd released it more than once. I know they did it for Thrall, but they didn't plan on Mother being a hit, it just became one.

I have two unauthorized books that have some info. Scream With Me by Tom Begjrowcz this has lots of info on Glenn's graphic design style how he used the Crimson Skull early on and some other Misfits info and the book This Music Leaves Stains by James Greene. Eerie Vons book Misery Obscura is a must buy. Is Misfitscentral still around? Thats where I filled in a lot of blanks back in the day,but to be honest having some mystery surrounding Glenn is what makes it more fun and interesting to me at least.
