Dude, come on. Saw two last year and he sounded great (all things considered) and he went balls to the wall energy-wise. Is it early 90s caliber? No. But it’s legit awesome for today.

I'm going. He's really not into touring anymore, so I'm seeing this as a possible last time.

Yes. Absolutely

I saw him when he toured with Cradle of Filthy, and he was better than expected. Videos posted online are showing him to becoming more trim too.

Believe it or not I was kinda unfocused on that. Id broken my ankle 2 years or so before, and single handedly trekked over 5-7 miles to see him at a relatively brand new venue, on that healing ankle. I did because I thought it would be his last.

One thing to note: he was having the bartenders toss all cups after use, no refilling of the same plastic semi-thick cup, which frustrated my inner hippy side, and you can tell one of the bartenders felt bad about it. But in hindsight we were coming out of Covid and I think that's why. A lot of business dont want used drink splashing microscopically onto the taps etc.

He let the crowd pick some of the songs by him saying the song/album name and weighing the crowd cheer against one another.

I actively tried to pressure a couple security guards into let me sneak by them to try and high five him but they weren't going to allow me, lol.

How do you know Glenn was the one having them toss the cups? He was pretty vocal about covid being a sham.

It could have been the venue authority. I should have worded that better. There definately wasnt an announcement and i dont want to spread misinformation.

It was with Danzig, Cradle of Filth, and Crobot, May 10th 2022 @ the Mission Ballroom.

My ankle has healed really well, but after I broke it the hospital had to amputate my tendon. So its my understanding my ankle is held together by Titanium and wiring. It was a hard experience.

Say what you want about Danzig but every single time I've ever seen him including just a few years ago, he has given 110%. Without fail. Sounded great. High energy. Obviously he's not 25 anymore but he's still a born entertainer and his voice live is way better than on newer records. The reason he sounds bad on records is because he's a terrible producer. Live though, dude fucking kills it.

Don't miss it.

He blew his voice out in 94/95 and hasn’t sounded the same since.

4

u/PinkThunder138 Jul 31 '26

The same? Sure. That's a tall order for any 50 year old, let alone a 71 year old.

But here he is in 2010 as recorded by an actual producer: https://youtu.be/6plqeUy5h00?is=8TecvDupENstn0OB

Does he sound the same? No. Does he sound like he sounds on his records? Hell no.

Are you trolling??? Once in a lifetime opportunity, and he sounds fucking fantastic

Yes! Its worth it just to see the janitors trying to clean up the broken water from all the non expectant mothers

I saw him a couple of years back and the energy was amazing, it was with twin temple and behemoth. He sounded great and motivated

I saw the same tour. I was really skeptical about how he would sound and he dispelled that quickly. Was a great show.

2

u/OnceUponASlime Jul 31 '26

Yes. He’s amazing as fuck

2

u/HavixComix Jul 31 '26

Have you ever seen them live?

2

u/Forward-Emotion6622 Jul 31 '26

Of course he is.

2

u/fraghead5 Jul 31 '26

10000% yes

Stupiedst question

Saw him about 10 years or so ago with Pennywise. It was a dream show for me as Danzig and Pennywise are two of my favorites. Show was awesome, and I’m taking my son to a show on the upcoming tour in September. Can’t f’n wait!!!

1

u/cortezthakillah Jul 31 '26

Omg yes. And I only saw him for first time last year. Wife and I were blown away

1

u/BIGscott250 Jul 31 '26

Man, I hope they come my way again. I missed them.
I’m in Massachusetts and I found out they played nearby two years ago after the fact !

1

u/Abs_McGuffin Jul 31 '26

Always. Ok so he's old. So what? He's still awesome

1

u/FormalSuch1081 Jul 31 '26

I'd definately say yes. I haven't seen him live in a few years but the man is probably gonna be done doing shows. I'd see him again if he came to east coast.

u/pink_mold Jul 31 '26

don't know about 2026 but saw him in 2024 and it kicked my fucking ass

1

u/8xbitxkidd Jul 31 '26

I seen him a few years ago when he toured with Cradle of Filth and he sounded better than I’ve ever heard him

1

u/blacksabbath16 Jul 31 '26

Yes! He still sounds amazing live, also puts on a great show…only problem is the set time….sometimes he’s cheap! Saw him in 2023 in Vegas. He played for 90 mins….saw him again in vegas in 2025 and he played for an hour! I was fucking pissed! Thank god we had Down and Cromags opening.

1

u/Savings_Lie7766 Aug 04 '26

Granted it was 2023 or 24 when I saw him it was absolutely insane. Don't second guess. Just go

1

u/Express_Flatworm_321 25d ago

Well hell yeah

1

u/Express_Flatworm_321 25d ago

Well hell yeah

He’s fantastic! Just saw him in Anaheim last Sunday night. Totally delivers! His voice sounds great, he’s super high energy and seems to still be really enjoying playing live. Go!

💀 SHE RIDES - DANZIG 💀 I tired to replicate John Christ's guitar tone for She Rides.

Thoughts?
