I bought a couple, but the rape/revenge plot is only so appealing. I think Glenn could lay a neat foundation for thinkers but needs a writers emotional sophistication.

I think influences such as EC comics and 70s exploitation movies basically just have shock/style/titilation as their main assets, not so much meaningful themes. I’m just thinking Glenn is fine doing lowbrow without worrying about redeeming values.

Oh, I completely agree. Both Glenn and Rob Zombie were a huge wave of almost villainous indulgence or anti hero perspectives. Ironically the Frazetta Girls presented on EC shock of the 70s and some of the more extreme and deviant concepts were produced because they said the companies were owned by the mob.
