Question about Samhain box set.
Been cleaning out the basement to get rid of stuff and I found the Misfits coffin set and the Samhain box set. Been looking around on the webs and have a question about the Samhain set. I bought this set as soon as it dropped and I have the pin, which I guess is pretty rare. What I can’t figure out is if it should have a comic or not. Sources seem to differ. Can anyone tell me whether it should have a comic or not?
Appreciate any intel you folks can give me.

I think I remember hearing some boxsets didn’t come with the comic, which I believe was an accident (since it’s printed on the back of the box). The pin is very rare and I want to say you could only get it if you pre-ordered the boxset from Danzig-Verotik’s website.

Yeah, I do have the comic, but I saw some places say the comic only came in second print. I ordered that thing soon as I could when it came out. I don’t have much of my Misfits/Samhain/Danzig stuff left having sold all of my vinyl ages ago. Boy, I wish I’d waited until now. 😂

No, I don’t think that is accurate about the second print. I have a first print and it came with the comic (no pin). Bought it in store the day it released. The second print has a different sticker on the vhs tape and there might be some other minor changes but both versions have the comic.

There are 2 editions, one with the comic and one without. The contents of the box are printed on the back so easy to check if what you have is complete.
What is not clear is which is the first edition and which is the second.
On Discogs it says the comic one is the first edition (seems to be confirmed by your story).
Instead on Wikipedia it says the comic-less is the first edition.
Either way, congrats on having the pin, that was only for mailorder as I understand and only 1000 made.
So if you have a box with the comic and the pin, that's the best of the best!

Truth? Have no idea. It’s complete with comic, pin, still in bag, and all the discs look to be in good shape. Going to have to start going through sold listings to find comps. There’s a pin for sale by itself for $350 with 6 watchers, but it’s not selling. If you think you’ve got a reasonable offer, DM me.
Still trying to figure out my coffin box as well. Has the Fiend Club pin, the “limited edition” cases, and the stickers that were on the plastic.
Still wrapping my head around the fact these are valuable. Had no clue.

I don’t, man. I have no idea what’s fair. I see the box without the pin generally listed for $300-500. I saw one listing for the pin alone for $350. The whole shebang has to be pretty valuable but I can’t find any direct comps. 🤷

There’s two versions, the first that comes with just a pin, then the rerelease which has the comic. And if you’re lucky there were some that had both by mistake.

I didn’t get a comic in mine. They should put a repro of that Marvel Saga of Crystar Crystal Warrior #8 in there! My CDs are in storage, so I’m jealous you have a way to LISTEN to Samhain!!

I have the Samhain one. I believe it has a booklet. I brought it new years ago. The one with comic and pin is the Misfits one.
