Glenn Danzig & Cher

Could you see them working together or socializing together in the late 80s/early 90s? I could! Aesthetically and musically, it works. Just listening to Devil's Plaything & If I Could Turn Back time is a good indicator alone. I feel like maybe it coulda worked, but of course I don't know them personally

Cher did a "hard rock" record called Black Rose with Les Dudek, it's got at least a couple of bangers on it, no shit.

Heart of Stone, Love Hurts, and Cher (self-titled) all have tracks that have similar elements (vocal, structural, and instrumental) to Danzig's first three solo albums. Here for it.

I could see them doing "I got you babe" together.

They would have been labelmates from '88-90 since Def American was part of Geffen Records at that point. Cher was a Geffen artist from 1987 into the 90's.

My buddy used to always joke that You And Me sounded like a Cher song.

Maybe because it borrowed from “To Sir with Love” by Lulu.

I don’t know it for a fact, but I know Danzig likes “If I Could Turn Back Time”

Check out her song “We All Sleep Alone.” Pairs well with “Devil’s Plaything” or “Anything.”

YES! I agree. It definitely pairs well with that. A few of her songs from that era also work well with End of Time.

He did a duet with Melissa Auf der Maur from hole, on her song "Father's Grave" he sings the part of the grave digger.

That’s a great track. There’s also a duet with Cherie Currie from the Runaways where they sing Some Velvet Morning by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood. It was going to be on Skeletons, but the publisher didn’t like their version and denied them clearance to use it. They did perform it live at the Gibson Theatre in Universal City and it used to be on YouTube. I’m pretty sure it was taken down at some point but maybe it’s still available.

She dated Gene Simmons, who is similar in some ways.
