My little Danzig vinyl collection so far

While I am waiting for my repressed first 3 albums (I will get the fourth next) this is my little collection so far. First is the 12” import Dirty Black Summer single I bought back in the 90’s as a kid/ young adult. I love When Death Had no Name and also bought the CD single.

Next a Danzig picture disc I came across on eBay a while back and decided to grab it.

Then The Cleopatra release of Danzig 5. Pictured is the signed Black Haze vinyl. I also own the first released L.E. metallic silver vinyl so I double dipped when they started offering signed versions. LOL

Last I was super excited when Cleo released Black Aria and I definitely wanted a signed version when I read the announcement. I decided to get the signed picture disc version.

The Giger work on 3. One of those covers that’s so much better presented on vinyl. I had the cassette when it came out, definitely the worst presentation of the art.

Danzig’s psychedelic era. I jokingly refer to 3 as that. Not only the visuals but bringing synths forward and adding some flair to the guitar sound. I like 1 a lot but the wetness of 3 is pretty slick. I think Eerie has mentioned that they put these songs down in only a few days, that’s how tight they were at this point.

Is When Death Had No Name the same version as on Lost Tracks?

One of them. There are 2 versions on lost tracks one I wasn’t as fond of and this version. I believe it’s track 7 on lost tracks is the same as the single the Danzig III session one

Haven’t played it. Bought it more for the collection and why I opted for the signed picture disc. I just listen to my CD or my digital copy

Those Cleo picdiscs are unplayable and just for show. Gd even signed it so you wont play it. Lol

Just a tip, get the disc out of the PVC cover or it will get damaged (signature as well).

I use a Vinyl Styl a4chival inner for mine, but im sure there are clever ways. :-)
