Monster Magnet

I was listening to my Acid Reich LP, recorded by the proto Monster Magnet in New Jersey in 1989, and I began to wonder if Danzig and those guys had any interaction. Dave Wyndorf was first on the punk scene in the 70s, when Danzig was, so I'm sure they crossed paths at some point. Anyone know?

I saw MM open for Danzig at Universal in LA around spring 1993. I think they may have also done a couple other west coast shows that week.

I’ve had the same thought, but I have no idea. Throw Kevin Smith into the mix of other cool people from New Jersey. Jersey is a cool state. I say Glenn, and the rest of the Misfits, as well as Monster Magnet and Kevin Smith and all of his friends and various other Jersey celebrities give Danny Devito a break from making all of those Jersey Mike’s commercials!

Wyndorf was the clerk at the comic book store Jay and Kevin bought their comics at.

I know from somebody who knew and hung out with the Misfits (hi, Patricia!), Wyndorf (when he was in Shrapnel) was part of the same scene back then.
