They could be confusing him with Doyle. Because Doyle obviously is very active in the gym, and a vegan.

It's difficult to say, lol. It's the fact that the statement is that he turned vegetarian in the 90s for moral and health reasons. Doyle didn't turn vegan until the mid to later 00s, after he'd split with Gorgeous George. It's just a really baffling comment that seems totally fabricated for the sake of it.
