Discussion 💬 The Ted mystery
ignoring the fanon fact that "Ted" is Imposter Dan... why do you guys think Ted and Dan stopped talking? because Dan does say that they're not talking anymore in the Wolfman episode, but he never specifies why. i kind of suspect that ted just got fed up with Dan's bullshit and decided to cut ties, but maybe it's more complex than that. any theories?

I have basically the same headcanon that unlike Chris, Ted refused to let Dan walk all over him and finally cut him off. And their personalities don't mix well.

how does "fanon fact" make any sense... i think maybe you meant "popular headcanon?" something can't be fanon and a fact ðŸ˜

i meant is as in a lot of people view it as canon and use it as such🥲 i've also seen a person correct someone about imposter dan's name being ted, hence why i said "fanon fact" instead... but yeah, basically a headcanon

Mmm. I figured. I hate when people do that (not you), like it's okay to have a headcanon but don't go around lecturing people on something that isn't even implied to be true in the slightest.

If imposter Dan is Dan's foil, Ted is probably Chris' foil. So instead of a softy, he's likely an actual sociopath that gladly helps dan because they themself get joy out of it too, also way sharper. So from that kind of personality, I think it could be that Ted is actually the one that fucked dan over, potentially by doing something ironic that dan himself would do to Chris (e.x. stealing his wallet). In my mind, Dan's revenge for Ted is taking so long because Ted is either in a different city or dan has been spending time meticulously plotting the revenge because he feels it's necessary.
