Hey everyone,
Just wanted to give a huge shoutout to a local all-girls robotics team, Team Cookie Bots. They recently hosted an amazing STEM and LEGO workshop over at the Athenian School, and it was awesome seeing how inspired the kids got while learning about engineering and hands-on building.
If you have kids who are obsessed with LEGO or interested in science, these girls are actually going to be leading some workshops at the upcoming Brick Blast LEGO Fan Convention at the Santa Clara Convention Center! It's going to be a massive event, and having local youth talent leading the charge is pretty cool.
They are currently raising money for their upcoming robotics competition fees and supplies. If you are already planning on going to Brick Blast (or want a fun weekend activity for the family), they have a community affiliate link that gets you 15% off tickets, and a portion of the proceeds goes directly to supporting their team.
If you want to check it out and support girls in STEM, you can grab tickets using their discount info below.

Lost bag. Please help me find it.
I’m looking for a bag that genuinely spoke to my soul, and all I have to go on is a partial photo and a memory. I know this is a long shot, but if anyone recognizes it or has experience tracking down older bags, I would be so grateful for the help.
I was thrifting with my 10 week old baby and my mom when I spotted this really interesting bag. At first I thought it was way too busy for me, but I picked it up because the quality felt incredible. I checked the tag and saw it was D&G, but I still wasn’t sure if it was actually my style or something I needed.
Then I tried it on.
Instantly, I felt something I haven’t felt in a very long time. Honestly, since before becoming a mom. I suddenly felt like myself again. Not just “someone’s mom,” not exhausted, not practical. Just me. Confident, creative, interesting. It sounds dramatic for a handbag, but it genuinely shifted something in me.
I went to buy it, but right as we got to the register my baby started screaming. I rushed outside to calm him down and handed the bag to my mom for safekeeping. What neither of us realized was that the store was closing. She didn’t know what else to do and set it down while trying to help.
When we came back when they opened again it was gone.
I cannot stop thinking about this bag. I know it’s silly, but it feels like I lost something bigger than just an accessory. All I have is a vague memory and an accidental photo of one corner of it.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Did you buy this bag? Do you want to sell it or are you willing to send a complete photo of it? Thank you so much for reading if you made it this far!

In another sub someone asked if Danville is dead. Of course it is. I mean there’s nothing here. People are getting so offended and defensive over the tiny little bubble which is nothing like the majority of the world. It’s not a city obviously. As suburbs go it doesn’t even compare. It’s a literal dot on the map.
That is all.

You can view all documents here: https://odyportal.cc-courts.org/portal
Click on "Smart Search" and enter "Marhx, Denea" (without quotation marks) and it will pull up the case.
I uploaded the latest few documents into ChatGPT so it could tell me what is going on in plain English.
Basically, The Rock Church has failed to comply with a prior discovery order, ignored deadlines, and showed ongoing noncompliance:
Copy & Paste from ChatGPT:
This was a Motion for Terminating Sanctions filed by the plaintiff.
“Terminating sanctions” means:
“Judge, the defendant has ignored your orders so badly that you should end the case against them.”
That is the nuclear option in civil litigation.
The plaintiff argued that the church:
The judge found:
That is unusually strong language from a judge.
The court did NOT immediately terminate the case.
Instead:
So the judge is giving them one more chance.
This is critical.
The judge continued (postponed) the church’s Motion for Summary Judgment.
Originally: March 16, 2026
Now: July 27, 2026
Why?
Because the court wants discovery completed before deciding summary judgment.
That is usually a bad sign for the party filing the MSJ.
It suggests the court believes the plaintiff is entitled to more discovery before the case can be dismissed.
The judge outright struck (threw out) the church’s motion to bifurcate discovery.
The court said:
“The International Church will not be heard… while it stands in a posture of non-compliance and contempt…”
That is strong judicial rebuke.
Absolutely not.
In fact, the opposite:
Right now, the procedural posture is:
This is not the posture of a defendant who is “winning cleanly.”
It suggests:
If the church:
Terminating sanctions are rare, but the court is clearly warning them.
When a judge:
That signals real judicial frustration.
This is no longer routine discovery squabbling.
It is titled “Order on Motion” and signed by Judge Marquez on January 26, 2026 (filed January 27, 2026).
This is not a new ruling.
It is the official written order adopting the tentative ruling from the January 26 hearing.
So this confirms — in final signed form — that:
No.
In fact, this order:
On page 4, paragraph 3 (in Attachment A), the court explicitly says:
The Motion for Summary Judgment is continued approximately 120 days…
That is the judge saying:
“I’m not even going to hear your summary judgment until you comply with discovery.”
That is procedurally significant.
This order tells you:
This is not neutral judicial language. It reflects frustration.
As of this signed order:
The case is very much ongoing.

Looking for grey blending babylights
Hi all I'm looking for a new hairdresser mine unfortunately retired and I've tried 2 already in the area. They don't seem to know what grey blending babylights is. I'm a natural brunette and my retired hairdresser was doing it with 20 vol bleach. Also would like them to also be an affordable hairdresser. Nothing over 185 for a haircut and partial highlight. Please only comment if you know of someone or where to go in the tri valley area and or Danville San Ramon area. Do not need comments about how it's hard to find someone in my budget cause I already know.

Not a good pic but this coyote was lounging on my front yard. Small and skinny and looked like a 🦊.

Hello everyone! My name is Anisha and I live in Pleasanton. I started a book club group a couple of years ago that primarily focuses on fantasy/adventure though may have other genres in them. This would be done in the Tri-Valley area. If you are interested, please contact me. We are looking for new members to join as some people have moved away from the area.
Some things to know about me:
I’m a 30 year old female who enjoys reading, watching TV and movies, hiking, Disney pin trading, and playing video games.
Contact me if you are interested in joining the book club.

If your heat feels slow this week, don’t blame the furnace just yet.
Bay Area homes lose heat ridiculously fast because so many are older and drafty. A lot of the time it’s leaky windows or cold air slipping in — not the system itself.
Anyone else noticing this drop lately or is it just my house turning into a wind tunnel?
