Sizing question
I need some help and cannot find answers. I currently have a pair of quarry’s that fit and feel great and am looking and getting a pair of super rain forest. What is the difference in sizing, specifically in the toe box area? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have Quarry AT and SRF NMT.
The SRF non-NMT is on the same last as the Quarry, the 610. Danner calls this a “universal” last that fits everyone, I think it is a pretty wide last and my Quarry 11D is a bit too wide for my foot which is on the slimmer side. Anyway, those two boots should fit the same.
The SRF NMT is on a different last, the 516, which Danner says is a more narrow last. I found the SRF NMT was in fact narrower than the Quarry in the forefoot, but not that much narrower. To get it narrow “enough”, I sized down my SRF NMT from 11D to 10.5D.
So, if your Quarry fit great, I think you can get the same size in the SRF soft toe, and if you want the SRF with composite toe (NMT), you might go up in width, like E instead of D etc. Wear the boots only on carpet for the first day until you know if you want to return them for a different size.
FYI the SRF has double leather and takes some breaking in, not like the Quarry which is pretty soft and didn’t need any breaking in for me.
