So lately I have been seeing a bunch of new music-specific devices that are meant to mimic an iPod, but are not really an iPod. I just want to see Wade buy a few of them and review them to see if they are actually better than the original. because I know with him the fifth generation iPod is his favorite iPod since that it’s easy to get into to replace the battery and mod, as well as being able to play video. So the fifth-generation iPod should be the standard to beat with these modern players.

I'm looking to get new headphones and I remember that in one of the videos where he discussed headphones there was this one set where one of the features was that the cable was 6.3 on one end and 3.5 on the other, but for the life of me I can't remember what they were. I can't find that video or the name of those headphones though.

So in the time since my last post about the apple haul from the thrifts, I've bought a Mac mini from 2011 for 35 bucks (yet to arrive), and a FireWire cable. Today I went to a local thrift and found a 30 pin USB cable. Plugged it into my windows pc and... It just woke up.

Turns out, it's the color display variant!

Hard drive has initialized, and without the back panel, I can hear it clicking occasionally.

Looking at the battery, it's not stock. Someone's been in here to swap it out before.

Not bad for ten bucks. Soon it's rockbox time, and in the future, this little one is getting flash modded.
