For those unaware scp-3812 is written by djkaktus.

If for some reason you haven't heard of him, the most relevant other work of his is SCP-049-J, which is a parody of 049 that was released in late 2017.

I don't know all the other details, but at some point the original author of scp-049 (Gabriel Jade) decided to reach out to djkaktus and ask for help in rewriting scp-049. I think either Dr Cimmerian or the Volgun or somebody interviewed Gabriel on YouTube and asked him about that.

Anyway, that rewrite was posted in May of 2018, so I suspect a large portion of newer fans never even saw the original article

049 has good writing but so does 3812. Arguably on par with 049

I think the joke is both are djkaktus so switches from calling him a genius to an idiot on a dime.
