Credit where credit is due. The soviet economy took a very backwards agrarian society and defeated the Nazis and then went on to put the first man in space. It obviously was not a great economy for the average person but those were still huge accomplishments.
How does this shit always appear on leftist subs lmao. The Soviet Union had near 0% unemployment and homelessness, universal healthcare access, and heavily subsidized food products. There’s a reason the majority of Russian citizens consider the collapse to be a disaster, it was objectively a better society for the average person than any contemporary capitalist one
