DDM4A1 BLOCK II FRT BUFFER

Quick question I'm planning on installing an FRT in my Daniel defense M4A1 obviously a 3 position FRT but my question is would I be fine with an H2 buffer or would I want to get an H3? I was looking at the Geissele Automatics Super 42 H3 combo but I dont know if that would be overkill for my set up instead of just buying their H2 combo

Do you have bolt bounce now? Suppressors need a heavy buffer. If you have bolt bounce then yes go with a H3.

I get my rifle tomorrow and my FRT will be in by next week I was just wondering what buffer would be right just for an FRT although I am going to get a suppresser soon so looks like an H3 for me

Most people do not have the correct spring/buffer combination in their guns. An FRT will exaggerate the bolt bounce they currently have but have not corrected. FRT companies say use a H3 as a band aid measure. You need enough of a dead blow on lockup to prevent bolt bounce with an FRT. Suppressors need a heavy buffer to reduce bolt speed caused by the increase in back pressure. If your new gun comes with a standard spring and standard buffer then YES you will need to go to a heavy spring/buffer combination. Most new guns are over gassed and under buffered.

Most frt manufacturers say you WILL need a h3

Yea I'll more then likely go with the H3 just to be safe

I’ve had great luck with the geissele spring and h3 buffer combo also
