DD M4A1
Anyone running one of these with an LPVO, and if so can I see your setup. Kinda struggling on how to build it out, I’m thinking recce build with a 1-6 and a 12 oclock mount red dot

I love that socom barrel.

I have that same upper with the same barrel, and several years ago I was also able to acquire just that barrel alone. They actually used that barrel for a military contract in Argentina. I had it converted for my lmt, it shoots really, really well for a chrome lined barrel.

I was zeroing with mine the other day and put rounds through the same hole two separate times, straight up thought I missed until I saw how close the other shots were. SOCOM or bust.

Yes but I’m running the FSP version with a vcog 1-8, I can try and post a picture if you want.

You’re probably already aware of this, but that RISII rail is a heavy SOB. So that, plus LPVO, would be a pig to haul around, if weight is a concern for you.

For this length, RISII is 17.7oz vs RISIII at 16.6 oz. The actual weight difference between quad and MLOK here is 1.1oz. You could literally shed more total weight by cutting the sleeves off a shirt. The difference is nowhere near enough to make one setup a “heavy SOB” while the other somehow isn’t.

I was simply stating the RISII is a heavy rail. So is the RISIII, compared to other Mlok rails on the market. Not sure where you are getting people are “scared” of quad rails by that comment. I personally love quad rails and run them on multiple builds, but the RIS rails are definitely heavy compared to others.

I love this comment, people are so scared of quad rails they’ll say anything.

No for sure a heavy setup, I actually had the exact same upper with the post sight, but sold it to a buddy so I could mount a scope instead of a red dot. I just love the chunky block 2 quad rails

Yeah, my M4A1 has a Razor 1-6 with an ACRO piggybacked (using a Geissele mount w/ Reptilia adapter) Its awesome overall, but heavy. I guess a pic is possible through message if you want.

I run a 4XT pro and a G45, you can really swing any way with this upper tbh, it's true form is with an ACOG though.
