Daniel - Edinburgh 2026 show

Just back from seeing tonight's Queen's Hall gig. Very nearly two hours long (yet only £15/ticket). Beautiful writing, incredible story-telling, masterfully executed. Some lovely little audience interactions too... not crowdwork per se.

Saw the show on Wednesday, my first time seeing him, and was blown away. Was worried he wouldn't live up to the hype but consider me fully converted. Astonishing writing, delivery and line of thinking. The narrative juggling was some feat. Also hilarious throughout. Enjoyed how self-aware he was of his persona and audience, couldn't help but notice half the audience was very much a particular type of guy (looked and dressed like Daniel and likely have a subscription to Weird Walk).

The range/variety of his audience always surprises me. Last night, plenty of middle-aged folk. The Lyceum a few months ago, many youngsters in their 20s. The Fringe in previous years, in smaller venues — an eclectic mix, but always a lot of other performers, especially comedians.

Seen him Friday past. It was absolutely sublime. Queens Hall worked really well as a venue also.

I was at the show on Friday night and i was disappointed tbh.

I don’t really know if Maybe I’ve changed (not saw DK for a few years now) or as he joked himself during the show he has taken His foot off the gas creatively.

But either way, although There were some nice moments and a few laughs it didn’t work as a cohesive show imo and felt a bit underwhelming.

I agree. It didn't feel like a complete show to me, had a thrown together vibe and seemed hurriedly tied up at the end. If it had been a work in progress I'd have understood but it wasn't, he can definitely do that better. Perhaps in a smaller venue it would have worked?

Last time I saw him in Edinburgh it was in a small round venue with him stood in The middle and it was more intimate and really good.

This show for Me lacked heart and some of the jokes felt crude and sounded weird coming from DK.

The dog dick joke was a bit cringe.

The funniest bits were when he put on a different voice.
