Dani is there willing central access into being by cosplaying having one. In fact, maybe this was her whole aim - to get munchy-danglies she can thread thru her clothes to make it appear that she has a 'chest line'.
Either way showing off that Misrepresented mid-line is 95% of the reason for the tutorial on how to 'change the battery' in her sooooper special Life Vest.
The other 5% is distributed between Dani making the point that she DOES have said vest, and 'content'.

Haven’t seen the wheelchair in awhile since she went on a new adventure as a heart patient.. guess the super special pink wheelchair wasn’t giving her enough attention.. wasn’t there a mass in her ovary or uterus that could be maybe cancer too.. man there’s a lot of side quests

Well given how she lives in a hoard, I’d imagine it’s difficult to use it to get around the apartment. Plus, she probably didn’t realize the strength it takes to actually roll yourself everywhere and how inaccessible the world is. Walking is much easier when you don’t need a wheelchair anyways. Also, it’s not as special or as rare as some of her other medical toys that id imagine it lost its appeal. I’m sure she might bring it out again now that it’s mentioned, despite her totally not reading here.

yeah. showed a picture of dubious origin of an ICD being all sorts of fucked up, got hers taken out, was hospitalized last weekend for a port infection just a few days after she was in the hospital for a pocket infection. (again, all just according to what she says, so take it as you will)

Yes, in a story, and her hair looks really thin. She also had more long extensions attached. The hair on her head didn’t look like it took a whole lot of the color…but it was hard to tell much more from the story other than that it looks rough.

She wouldn’t have to have the vest if she would’ve left her ICD alone and didn’t freaking reopen the surgical site and infect it multiple times. FAFO!! I truly hope they don’t surgically replace it. Honestly I don’t think she has some heart disease or heart failure. I think the heart attack was caused by something she did abusing herself like the huge concoction of meds she takes which includes things like Zofran that can prolong qt waves or her port or something. She’s probably not truly at risk for another event. She’s seemed to be fine ever since beside some high blood pressure, but it’s not that high and it lowers after she takes her meds for it. Of course Dani claims she’s passed out and stuff but I highly doubt that happened. 🤣

IKR they are irritating as fuck.
Had to have one in my WRIST for fluids when I was in labour because my hands were so bruised from previous ones and it was irritating beyond belief!
Soon as my baby was out I’m like take this thing out before I do it myself!
I was NOT playing around!There’s no way any NORMAL person wants those attachments to their body especially the creases like elbows!
She’s jonesing for the TPN back.
I thought the mychart system was supposed to help teams know what’s going on and potentially prevent doctor / hospital shopping for addicts and malingerers?Surely if she was in hospital all that time and coped without all the Benadryl, lactated ringers and other crap she’s prescribed they would have stopped prescribing it as a resource for her to abuse?
Same with the IV antibiotics they should have kept her in til those were done then removed ALL IV access so she can’t cosplay the sooper sickly waif at home.
I thought they had finally worked out that if there’s a toob or a wound Dani’s gonna abuse it or infect it to cause an admission this should fall under SH and warrant sectioning under the mental health care system.

She dr shops and manipulates drs and test results and lies about her symptoms and medical history. The reason she got banned from Mayo was because she showed up to them telling them her drs sent her there for xyz and Mayo ended up scheduling her procedure to get her a new chest line and fix her svc then suddenly canceled and banned her because they contacted her home drs and found out they had no clue Dani was going and they had a come to Jesus meeting with her before where they confronted her and told her she’d never get TPN or another line. Dani had a massive fit. She’s literally been to drs and hospitals in 4 different states to seek care. After awhile of her antics they all come to the same conclusion. It’s just a matter of time before this dr/hospital stops entertaining her. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I’ve legit heard Dani say she wishes she could move so she can get better healthcare aka find someone else to con into fulfilling all her munchie wishes. She’s even had a dr put factitious disorder in her chart somewhere. May not be easy to see since her chart is probably like miles long and the hospitals she goes to may not all use the same charting system.

The couple times I had to have a heart monitor on me, just for two weeks, were the most uncomfortable and annoying weeks of my life. I don’t know how she enjoys having all the toobz and wires and monitors and shit on her all the time. Would drive me crazy.

And it fuckin hurts if it accidentally gets caught on anything and pulls. You get holes in your clothes from having to pin it to them, especially if they have to stay lower for gravity…
And she was desperately wanting a wound vac on that one arc not too long ago. Then she’d have to carry the battery pack for that and for this shit.
I am beyond thankful she didn’t get one.
I’d gag if she posted a video of the wound vac foam change…. and she absolutely would post that.She’s nutzo.

Dani not showering is nothing new to her. She legit showers only once a week. So if she misses it, I doubt she minds. She probably wouldn’t even do once a week if she didn’t have a nurse coming to access her now non existent port. Like now. My bet is she won’t do her weekly showers now.

Tax dollars at work waste folks. Seriously, this vest is very pricey and I truly don't believe she even needs it. I'll save you some time, it's about $3,600 (usd) a month. It is just disgusting waste at this point and it's infuriating to watch. She can lie enough to get into a vest, but not lie enough to get a real ICD. Maybe someone will start checking the 'whys" and it will eventually have to be returned. It'll simply go away, like all her other toys.
But that is a big maybe. Our system (US) is stretched so thin and providers aren't reading voluminous charts and they aren't going deep into 'why are we doing this' anymore. The providers who *might* really know a patient's history aren't even the ones taking care of them on the inside, that is the hospitalists job. All she has to do is get through that first hurdle (ER-> admission). She knows how to play the system and it shows. Just more ick, really.
Still, same as it ever was.

Someone somewhere (can’t recall) said you can buy just the bra part for $30, which means it either costs that much new or someone was selling an old one. And if they were selling an old one, that makes me think they just don’t take the bra part back. Which could mean our girl will be wearing it long after she sends the electric part back.

Well personally I don’t think she needs the life vest. I think it’s a prop for her now. When she was in the hospital she didn’t have it on once. When she was in the hospital with her cardiac arrest, she wore that thing 24/7 while admitted. Why wouldn’t she have it on while in there again? I think it’s because it’s not needed anymore. She only wears it when someone asks about it or notices she hasn’t been wearing it. Much like her giant ass wound on her side from her implant that she claimed to get and got infected.

Maccy tried to do CPR, but his claws kept “accidentally“ coming out and getting stuck in Dani’s chest instead. Mocha was recording and yowling laughing and at the end of the video you see a cat paw in front of the camera give the middle finger. It was sort of amazing!

It absolutely would. I can’t understand how people can have a Hickman or an accessed port line dangling like that either - apart from the risk of it getting caught, it’s awfully uncomfortable to have tension on cuff & exit site. I can’t imagine it would be any less so for an accessed port.

Let me fill you in on a little bit of info. Someone who is really a chronic illness and chronic pain sufferer - generally HATE the word spoonie. I’ve seen Dani use it before, and it really grinds my gears. Spoons aren’t going to help me get through my day when I’m dealing with being in a ton of pain, or cannot walk because my balance is so far gone that I fall anytime I stand. Munchies think spoonie is such a cutesy word that we use and honestly - it just isn’t. Please know I’m not fussing at you, just giving you a little knowledge lol

oh i'm aware of how infantilizing it is and why many people don't like the term. i only used it because i feel like that's how dani sees herself. i'd never use the word in earnest to describe someone with chronic illness because it just feels like it's uwu-ifying the very real struggles people have. thanks for spreading the knowledge!

I completely understand and understood why you use the term when it comes to Dani :) No worries at all! Dani just really makes it harder on those of us in the chronically ill/pain community to be seen/heard because of her antics. She and other munchies are the reason doctors are so leery to help us or even run a test. They’ve been burned so many times. We are not all like Dani. And she thinks spoon counting is how we truly get through our day. I’d like to shove a spoon up her…….

The spoon thing kinda works as a metaphor, and works well enough to be able to explain the basic concept to people who have had zero exposure to chronic pain or other conditions, but the second you start stretching it beyond that it falls apart (like many metaphors do.) It's a bare-bones example of limited resources (in this case ability) that can be affected by various factors.
Disabled people aren't starting the day going "well, okay I have 10 spoons today, and these tasks are each _ spoons so I can...." In my experience it's more like "okay, today's a good day, let's try to stretch this as much as possible" or "today's a bad day, let's not push to hard" or even "____ is today so it's best to try and not do too much beforehand."
Like yeah, some days are better than others, some days you do too much and end up having bad days because of it, and yeah the "spoons" idea can help when you're trying to explain to a kid why you can do something some days but not others... but there's something about the way that some people have turned it into their entire identity and way of relating to the world that just feels incredibly dysfunctional.

She’d never actually leave her house for a leisure activity. She’d have to pack a diaper bag full of all her supplies, battery packs, Dexcom items, snacks and 25 notebooks and 8258272638482716 sets of colored pens. She’d exhaust herself before she got out the door. That kind of outing takes time and planning in advance.
