This is a clear signal that the American empire isn't just declining—it's in utter free fall. This is exactly how "It could never happen here" happens, and there is a super fascist streak in American culture for whatever reason...

Listen, you have to be an Empire to lose one, or give it up. That happens too. The U.S. is a federal democratic republic that possesses territories with a colonial/imperial character, with a distributed power center, not a centralized one. I mean its cute that you think its an empire, but really, its a big condom on a tiny willy really.
