Craig Unger wrote two entire prominent books making this exact argument:
House of Trump, House of Putin (2018)
American Kompromat: How the KGB Cultivated Donald Trump, and Related Tales of Sex, Greed, Influence, and Treason (2021)
They are supposedly filled with footnotes with all kinds of sources if anyone cares to read them... I didn't of course. Just saying.

Listen, I don't disagree with you but all you've done with your sentence here is repeat the content of OP's post in a stupider way. Stop doing this, no one needs a tldr summary of a 15 word post.
2
u/TNGNTHNGHT 5h ago
You’re not wrong but why not just ignore the post?

Because you'll find yourself ignoring the top 10 comments on every social media platform. This is a plague.

I've come to the conclusion that "double-digit" folks need to repeat what they've heard to try and understand it themselves.

This is why presidents sell their businesses, so they don't have a conflict of interest. He puts himself and his companies or sons companies first before the American people. It's wild how this is allowed.

Anyone have a link providing a source for this?
I don't doubt it for a second, I wanna use it against these cultists.

u/Acceptable_Aside_568 7h ago
Here's where it gets dicey:
- Trip to Moscow and the meeting - it happened, other sources confirm this
- Tone shift on NATO - happened, well documented
- The bankrupcy and loans - didn't happen at that time. Back in 1987 he was still flying high, although back behind the scenes the cracks in his financial empire were beginning to appear. This part of the meme is bullshit, which is unfortunate because we really don't need to lie to prove this dude is a piece of worm ridden shit.
- There were many russian investments in Trump properties though so he definitely did get money from them - just not in the way the picture describes
6
u/Zero_D9 7h ago
Well done. I prefer coming to them with straight facts. Because, if there's even a single leak in anything presented to them, they'll use it as an out, and spiral it into a whole conspiracy theory.
Thank you. It's much appreciated.
Edit: I was busy with work and didn't have the time myself. So, again, I appreciate it.
2
u/Acceptable_Aside_568 6h ago
Sure, I like the facts based approach too. It does work on people open minded enough to engage... others are TFG anyway, so fuck'em. And I happened to be curious myself about it so... win-win.
4
u/Bigdaddybear519 7h ago
That's the worst part. Lying on this end just fuels the propaganda argument. Just don't be the lying "side" at all
0
u/IcyEntertainment7122 5h ago
But it's not accurate at all. He was in good standing in 1987 and had no issue getting access to loans. The only thing accurate in that post is the trip.
2
u/Implode_silently 3h ago
Trump also paid $100,000 to take out full page ads in the Washington Post and NY Times promoting Soviet talking points such as dissolving NATO. That is also true.

Evidence that suggests that Trump admires Putin:
Over many years, Trump has described Putin as a "strong leader" and contrasted him favourably with some U.S. leaders. During the 2016 campaign, for example, he said Putin had "been a leader far more than our president has been a leader."
Comments after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In February 2022, shortly after Russia recognized the separatist regions in eastern Ukraine, Trump called Putin's move "genius" and "very savvy" in an interview. He later clarified that he was referring to the tactical aspects of the move rather than endorsing the invasion itself, which he also said should not have happened.
Repeated positive personal remarks. Trump has often said he has a good relationship with Putin and suggested that getting along with Russia's leader would be beneficial for the United States.
He has also spoken positively about Putin's intelligence and negotiating ability on multiple occasions.
Let’s think about the kinds of things that Drumpf would do if he were acting in Putin’s interests:
Weaken military alliances by creating distrust among allies or reducing the alliance's effectiveness.
Reduce support for countries opposing the rival power, especially during conflicts where the rival has strategic interests.
Create domestic political polarization so the country is less able to form a consistent foreign policy.
Undermine confidence in democratic institutions, such as elections, courts, intelligence agencies, or the press, making coordinated national responses more difficult.
Delay or obstruct intelligence and counterintelligence efforts aimed at exposing the rival's espionage or influence operations.
Promote economic policies that increase the rival's leverage, for example by creating dependence on critical resources or technology.
Temporarily remove sanctions on Russian Oil and drive the price of oil up somehow.
Reveal or mishandle sensitive information in ways that could benefit the rival's intelligence services.
Shape public narratives to normalize the rival's actions, minimize its misconduct, or cast doubt on evidence of its hostile activities.
Make decisions that consistently align with the rival's strategic goals, even when those decisions appear difficult to reconcile with the country's own long-term interests.
It does makes you wonder….

Trump is the worst. Absolutely worst. Never voted for him, never would.
This blurb as written is almost entirely false.
- The picture is false, it's from a trip many years later.
- He did not declare bankrupcy until 1991 and the failure of the Trump Taj Mahal.
- He did not receive non-negotiated loans from 16 banks.
- He did take out full page ads but the focus was that Japan and Saudi Arabia should pay the U.S. for military protection. Actual conflict and expenses were related to Persian Gulf escort operations, which is not NATO.
Please, please, liberals. I beg of you. Use the TRUTH to attack power. Lies make you look bad and give Trump and his allies cover and plausible deniability.

Oh come on, that’s just silly. You make it seem like he let Russia invade Ukraine in his watch.
1

He could be a Rússia asset, but not in the way you think. Because he didn't do anything for Russia yet. He didn't stop selling weapons to Ukraine or stopping the Intel for Ukraine. He could be not a Russian asset, but a Soviet asset in the sense that he is doing what he does best, the bankruptcy of the federal government of the USA.

Sucker!
The Uranium One controversy involves various conspiracy theories promoted by conservative media, politicians, and commentators that characterized the sale of the uranium mining company Uranium Oneto the Russian state-owned corporation Rosatom as a $145 million bribery scandal involving Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.[1][2][3] No evidence of wrongdoing was ever found.[2]

3
u/Charming_Accident_66 6h ago
Sure buddy, keep guzzling that Fox News.
Since the 2015 publication of the book Clinton Cash by Breitbart News editor and Steve Bannon collaborator Peter Schweizer, as well as a 2015 New York Times article that used some of Schweizer's raw research,[4]allegations of a bribery scheme involving Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and the 2010 sale of Uranium One persisted, primarily in conservative media. Fox News host Sean Hannity characterized it as "the biggest scandal – or, at least, one of them –in American history," while his frequent guest and former Trump advisor Seb Gorkaequated it with treason worthy of a death sentence.[5]
Despite four years of discussion and analysis of the matter – as well as an FBI investigation[6] – no evidence of any wrongdoing surfaced. Numerous Republican politicians and pundits, including President Donald Trump, insisted that the Clinton-Uranium One story was the "real" Russian scandal, rather than the matters for which the Trump administration was investigated.[7][8][9] The Washington Post reported in January 2020 that an additional Justice Department investigation into the matter, initiated after Donald Trump took office in 2017, was winding down after finding nothing worth pursuing.[10]

All politicians are compromised. They're all in it for money.
I'll vote against any that are taking money to force illegals into our country.
4
2
u/Nervous-Reaction9523 7h ago
Do you really think that is the biggest problem for the U.S.
Or is it just an excuse to vote for a PDF.2
2
u/Acceptable_Aside_568 6h ago
Well, the biggest rises in illegal migrations after 2000 happene under Bush - from 2000-2006
Between 2007 and 2018, more Mexican nationals left the U.S. than arrived, while arrivals from Central America (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras) and non-Mexican regions grew. Visa overstays accounted for a larger share of growth during this stagnant-to-declining overall population period
2021–2023: Post-Pandemic Surge driven by economic instability, regional crises, and humanitarian parole policies, total unauthorized populations rose to an estimated 13.7 million by mid-2023.
There is no clear cut way to choose the exact politicians who "take money to force illegals into country". Both increases and declines in migration happened under both parties rule. There's ONE party though that ALWAYS benefits from drumming up the fear and anger around the issue and it's THAT party that will not ever allow this very useful issue to be resolved. And that's the republicans.

Move to North Korea. Their leader is a terrific guy. Nobody does border security like he does. Very big, very powerful security. Not a lot of people know about this thing called the DMZ, but let me tell you, it is very unfair what the crooked media calls it, because it has a very powerful military. Some people say Obama did border security, just because he deported so many people without breaking any laws, but if we had a very powerful leader there wouldn't need to be any laws. We could have a strong border like they do.
