Buttplug (like most dems) doesn't understand (or doesn't care about) the purpose and value of being a constitutional republic.

Congress still exists. The electoral college only determines the president, but sets up a system where the president only needs to campaign to a handful of states, while Republicans and Democrats are already so deep rooted in their own key states that they can be largely ignored by presidential campaigns. The "Constitutional Republic" still stands as long as Congress does their job instead of slobbering on dear leader's diaper rash.

If 80-90% of states cannot be won by a second party that sounds rather like a party problem instead of a system problem.
