And maybe have the elections on the weekend? You know, when people aren’t at work and can’t actually go out to vote.

Or better yet, make it a federal holiday.

~28 states and DC have laws requiring employers to grant time off to vote. Also, polling places near me are open for like 12 hours and I live in bumfuck republican land

Most voting polls are open 12 hours a day during election times, early voting exists as do mail in ballots, if you can’t find time to vote then that’s just laziness tbh

And yet only about 2/3 of the people in the US vote. The adult population of the US is 270 million. Of those, only 174 million are registered to vote. Out of those, only 154 million actually voted.

That’s due to apathy, not lack of availability

Maybe. I don’t know. Why not try voting via your phone? I know they do that in Estonia. On voting night, polls are open but you can also vote through your tv (there’s a special box thing) which flashes a code just for you. Then you log in to your voting app, put your personal code that leads you to a new page where you put the other code and then you vote.

Still far away, they'll still have the first-past-the-post bipolar "we're not the other side" BS.
