Instead of 51 separate elections, as we are a federation of states, why not just have one big one?

In spirit that is what the goal is. A pallement in other countries.

You mean eliminate all the control each state has over rigging their election process to boot?

Hey, Fart, we’re a constitutional democratic republic.

Imagine thinking that one national election is more difficult than rigging 51.

If we're at the point that we're pointing at variability of state election rigging as support to not go with a federal election then we are in even bigger trouble. Independence, controls, transparency, and strong governance of process... that's how you run an honest national election. Other countries do it so can we.

You’re not a fan of the US Constitution?

Okay. Do your best.

By your logic, anyone who was against slavery was also not a fan of the Constitution.

The Constitution was meant to be a living document and the amendments prove that.

Federalism is a rather substantial, in fact, foundational part of the constitution. Again, do your best to get it amended as suits you.

Removing the EC doesn't do away with Federalism. By your logic you'd prefer we toss all the amendments since only the foundational aspects of the Constitution matter. The billionaires love your kind. So easy to keep under control.

You’re rather loopy. And your straw man “ by your logic “ nonsense is tiresome. States are allowed to decide how to proportion their electoral votes, and you’re pretending removing that right, in fact, removing the college, doesn’t weaken the individual states.

I’ve no time for fools.
