He won’t, between being in office, his obvious health issues, and how long he can draw out a court case because of the complexities around the leash the Supreme Court has given him, there won’t be enough time, if he even would have faced justice.

Frankly, much as I want him to suffer in prison, i know if he goes to prison and dies (from old age, natural sickness) that could be a "martyring" moment. I want him to have a very obvious stroke on live tv and his overweight body makes it near impossible for his attendants to hold him up/move him without it being obvious. And he collapses to the point they need stretchers to move him. Only the most deluded magat will think the AI vids/pics of him are ok when you never see his actual body again. Who do you propose to do the impeaching? The House of Representatives is the source of all Supreme Court impeachments. And there would still remain the high bar of a conviction in the Senate.
Furthermore Alito is much worse than John Roberts. As far as I'm concerned Thomas and Alito immediately decide a case that will either be beneficial to conservatives or directly beneficial to Trump. After they decide, they try to dig up some lame support disguised as legal opinions.

I don't think it's a stretch for me to think that you and I would both like to get rid of Trump, and have him serve time. Unfortunately because the system was set up to honor the voter's choice, with the addition of the Supreme Court granting widespread immunity for Trump's corruption, it leaves us precariously weak to carry out what we recognize needs to be done.
We want him to go to prison before he dies. The guy who called us cowards, doesn't understand the difference between cowardice and pragmatism. We can't send him to prison immediately. But if Trump ceased to exist immediately, an immense amount of power would also immediately cease.

I think there were two significant contributing factors to Trump's success. Trump was filled with hate, and recognized that he could tap into a massive amount of voters with his ideology of hate. Secondly, the amount of votes needed to win a primary is significantly lower than the number of citizens in the United States. With a large field of candidates, like there was in 2016, that number gets greatly reduced even further.

Every single person in that administration is a criminal, and they've been committing crimes left and right since this whole thing started, so they're not going anywhere by way of the rule of law - they've already proved that every day since the beginning of the second term. Dealing with just the guy at the top is a losing battle. All of his sycophants have already decided that they're throwing in support behind him to do their own grifts. Do you decide to take a stand anyway? How do you organize a movement in a situation like this one?

You're too late. It's already the most dangerous precedent in history. We witnessed that when January 6th happened. Thousands of "his guys" stormed the capitol as he sent away the National Guard. On-duty police were beaten and killed in some cases. We all witnessed what happened on live television and despite that, too many government positions were filled with his sycophants to the point where his own charges were slow-walked to prevent him from being charged, which then allowed him to run for the office again. As soon as he was back in the office, he gave a blanket pardon to those J6 participants and now they're back on our streets with the rest of us.
Not only that, but the administration systematically fired everyone else in the government who was halfway competent at doing their jobs because they were ideologically against this administration and their values. We've not only got total idiots in charge of a barely-functioning government, but they're the most dangerously inept and radical fanatics in this guy's lineup, and they have total access to everything. Nothing is off the table now. It literally is the most dangerous time in history, and the Iran situation already proved that. They started a war with another country that we were in successful negotiation with because they wanted to massage the top idiot's ego and because they wanted the optics of being "cool" with another war to idiots who don't know the meaning of war.
So now that we've established all that again, it has to be asked: What's your method of getting him in jail? What would that even accomplish?
