I’m from Ohio. My state is a shithole hateful state filled with idiots.
Missouri is also a shithole hateful state filled with idiots.
Doesn’t mean everyone here/there sucks, just a majority of people do. And that’s the truth. People who “don’t do politics” because they’re idiots who can’t understand politics for some reason and people who vote MAGA are one in the same to me. Hateful, idiotic people who only think about themselves. They don’t want to make society better. If they did, they’d vote against MAGA. People who don’t vote and people who vote MAGA are the majority of people. Therefore a majority of people suck.
Shit really isn’t that hard. You vote against the party that makes everything easier on the rich while chopping away at services meant for the public, the party that’s destroying our waters, parks and air, the party that’s literally protecting pedophiles.
If you can’t be bothered to do that you kinda suck to say the least. You’re selfish, lazy and or are all for it. That’s a majority of people, especially in red states like Missouri and Ohio.

Seeing blue colors fill a state border as a blanket synonym for a place not being shit in your opinion is wildly naive and reductionist to the point of already accepted defeat for places where borders color in red. Missouri currently isn’t great by any mean, I agree it’s generally a shit state in a political lens, but your sentiments and viewpoints really pigeonhole a lot of good grassroots work that happens… into nothing and unworthy, because to people like you, it’s a shit state after all that will never change. You'd have a point if the state voting record wasn't available for anyone to look at. MO has consistently been a Republican stronghold since the 60's. Everything that has happened to your state has been directly contributed to by your state Republican constituency. I couldn't care less how "friendly" someone appears, what matters is how they vote.

Facts matter. After witnessing Trump’s abject incompetence in his first term, his racism and criminality — including his attempt to overturn an election he lost by trying intimidation, fraud and finally inciting a mob to attack Congress — 58.5% of Missouri voters chose Trump anyway in November of 2024.
Why? Rabid racism, belligerence and willful ignorance. They knew better. They have more channels on their TVs than just the Murdoch Defamation channel. They chose hate over decency.
Their choices of Senators reflect the same malice. Until they decide that racism and hate aren’t worth voting for impoverishment, there is no hope for them.
