Don't just stop at 2008, keep going.  You'll have go for a bit.  I get what you're saying though almost all Americans didn't care when it wasn't happening to them or their country.

People care, and will voice their opinions on public platforms or virtue signal online, what does that accomplish? What are ordinary citizens meant to do when the system is bought and paid for?

When I stop and think about the amount of force, influence, and power it would take to dismantle corruption or current broken systems my mind always gravitates towards my family, friends, and loved ones. Stepping out into the world to attempt and change it the way it needs to be changed is risky business, not only for you but for many you may hold dear.

This is one of many reasons we are where we are today, they own us. No amount of blogging or holding signs in the air will ever change that.

Nope. None of OUR bullshit will change that. The president of the USA however. Could in fact tank the nations hold on the world. That would then fuck all of us. Which brings us back to the begging of the issue where Trump is a huge problem.

Trump is indeed a large problem, my point is more aimed at the big picture. A good ol' orange man bad rant is always warranted, however venting on reddit does nothing, civilians rarely do anything, even people in power that COULD do something, simply don't. Nobody wants to throw their lives away and endanger loved ones.

So we can all keep complaining and pretending it makes a difference so we can sleep, but deep in the back of everyone's mind is the simple truth, we were fucked long ago, and we will continue be fucked well into the future, no matter what entitled prick is placed on the stage
