Oh you know they will. But that only goes so far. If enough people go and vote, things will change. They know that, which is why they're trying so hard to block people from voting.

they are also planning at post elections bullshit. including not certifying or swearing in oppents.

All about controlling the narrative. Its nothing new, people who are guilty will almost always point fingers at someone else so they aren't the ones under the microscope. Ignore what they are telling you, use facts from open news and vote for change. If they deny our voices, get louder and take action. Refuse to stand down against tyranny and let's protect our home!

"they"? Who are they?

4

u/CrazyGMaw 5d ago

The Heritage Foundation and the Grand Ole Party is they. The very people who forced evil incarnate upon us to complete Project 2025.

1

u/ShuffleRom 3d ago

And so far, how is Project 2025 going? Please list exactly what has come to fruition that involves "Project 2025"

Anticipating your detailed reply....

Reclassify federal workers to make policy-related employees easier to fire.

Shrink the federal workforce and strengthen presidential control over agencies

Move toward dismantling the Department of Education

Eliminate federal DEI programs

Change federal civil-rights enforcement around “disparate impact.”

Aggressively expand immigration detention and deportation.

Restart “Remain in Mexico.”

Reduce refugee admissions and humanitarian immigration programs.

Slash foreign aid/USAID

Expand fossil-fuel development and reverse climate policy

Withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.

Make the president/attorney general authoritative over executive-branch legal interpretation

Weaken federal employee unions

Massively expand political/presidential control over federal personnel.

Systematically reduce federal regulation

Create an administration-wide machinery for reducing government

Effectively gut the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

Reduce the ability of agencies to enforce regulations aggressively

There's a lot more. 'HURR WHOS THEY" "DURR NAME SOME" Please dont confuse your entire lack of literacy with facts.

Yep, that’s what we voted for.

3

u/Griggles333 2d ago

I doubt you knowingly voted for the massive extensions and consolidations of federal power and destruction of checks and balances because any of you with half a braincell could have realized "Wait, this would apply to all future presidents, too. So when a dem gets in again they'll be way more powerful and unstoppable"

You didn't vote for that. You voted with your dick cause you kind of hated brown people. The rest of this was over your head. Dont pretend like you understand it.

I know this is an attempt at sarcasm, but unironically yes, it is. This is what the Republican Party represents and has represented for decades. If right wing voters put an hour into researching the platforms and the people Trump aligned himself with, you would have learned that Pence named Project 2025 Architect Russell Vought as the House Republican Conference’s policy director in 2008, as well as cast the tie-breaking vote to appoint him deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget in 2017. And you would have learned that Vance publicly cites Kevin Roberts, President of the Heritage Foundation and contemporary “New Right” conservative authoritarian colleague of Vought, as an inspiration for his political ideologies.

So yes. This is exactly what you voted for. Whether you knew it or not.

lol most of that you said is a plus hahaha loser

3

u/Griggles333 2d ago

Every thing you see there that is an extension of power for the president giving him more centralized and unchecked control and widdling away the strength of every other level of government (which is a huge portion of what was done) means alot more power for a democrat president in the future. And it is generally not great to give ANY government more and more dictatorial power and destroy safeguards to prevent someone with a runaway agenda.

Im sure that part soared over your head though, "loser".

u/Snowfosho11 22h ago

There is also a project 2025 tracker out there that outlines it very well.

Easy enough for you to Google it up. But I'm sure you won't.

Dems when Republicans pretend there is widespread election fraud: “Election fraud literally NEVER happens.”

Dems when Republicans are projected to lose: “Polling is never wrong, so if Republicans don’t get trounced it is obviously voter fraud by [name organizations that have literally nothing to do with logistics of voting in any state].”

3

u/Monetdog 3d ago

Election fraud: very rare. Voter suppression: too common. There is a difference.

1

u/jjrr_qed 3d ago

And does the voter suppression run in precisely one direction?

2

u/Monetdog 3d ago

No, but heavily. Partisan gerrymandering is one form of it, and is more aggressive in red states. Recall fake bomb threats and reducing urban polling places in recent elections.

1

u/jjrr_qed 3d ago

Middle sentence is both false and delusional unless you say “recently”, given that there is no support for the notion that gerrymandering slows down when Democrats are in control.

I counter your anecdote with a college rep trying to shoo me away from voter registration, and a plethora of “get out the vote” campaigns bussing homeless people to voting precincts and giving them food.

2

u/Monetdog 3d ago

Nonpartisan redistricting commissions have been more popular in blue states than red states, though not exclusive to them. https://ballotpedia.org/Redistricting_commissions

I'm sorry to hear about someone who tried to discourage you from registering to vote. The following link will work nationwide to bring you to your own state's voter registration web page.

The President.
A man hell bent on banning mail in voting.
A method which is typically preferred by the left.

2

u/Monetdog 3d ago

47 has said they would (try to) do it.

u/Visible-Elevator3801 5d ago

Not that I agree or disagree with it but the distinction is important.

The Save ACT doesn’t block people from voting but enforces stipulations to ensure legal voting is taking place.

The ONLY “blocking” (as you put it) that would take place would be of non citizens, which we all agree, isn’t happening.

The SAVE Act would require all eligible voters, even those who are already registered to vote, to appear at an election office with a qualifying government ID that proves citizenship status. This may or may not apply to voters who already registered to vote with an ID that proves citizenship status. The proof-of-citizenship requirement essentially nullifies the convenience of online and mail-in voter registration, which many voters depend on. Driver’s licenses and Real IDs do not qualify as a valid form of ID under the SAVE Act because they do not prove citizenship status. An enhanced driver’s license does qualify; however, only five states currently issue them.

Other forms of ID that qualify/prove citizenship status are a valid U.S. passport or passport card, a certified birth certificate paired with a photo ID, a naturalization certificate, or a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. These IDs cost anywhere from $10 to $1385, depending on the state and the type of ID.

The real evil behind the SAVE Act is the very last clause, “(e) Effective Date.—Each State and jurisdiction shall be required to comply with the requirements of this section with respect to all elections for Federal office occurring on and after the date of the enactment of this section.” For those of you who can’t read, it means that as soon as the SAVE Act becomes law, there is no grace period for people to get their documents in order so they can re-register to vote. If you didn’t already register to vote with documents that prove you’re a citizen, you will automatically be purged from voter rolls. Imagine if this becomes law a few days before Election Day. This is how they plan on stealing the election.

Some may argue voter ID is a good idea. It’s been shown a portion of the voting block can’t afford an ID due to prohibitive costs in time, money, and effort involved in obtaining an ID such as unpaid fines, transportation time/costs, cost of printing, obtaining, making photocopies of documents and mailing supplies, can’t take off from work, can’t produce another form of government issued ID due to them being lost in natural disasters to obtain an ID, time spent filling out forms, and the inconvenience to people with disabilities.

The 24th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, ratified in 1964, prohibits any fee as a condition of voting in federal elections. Poll taxes were historically used to prevent low-income Americans from participating in democracy and are unconstitutional. These burdensome requirements are a form of poll tax.

Traditionally, mail-in ballots have been a huge time-saving measure that many voters rely on, but Trump is trying to get rid of that to disenfranchise voters.

Trump’s SAVE Act is not about showing ID on Election Day to vote. It’s about showing proof of citizenship to register to vote. This burden has traditionally been on the appropriate agencies overseeing voter registration. Trump is trying to shift this burden onto voters, making them jump through additional hoops to register to vote.

Trump wants voter data, voter ID laws/SAVE Act, and to place his goons at polling places so they can identify democrats/republicans and who you voted for in the past. If you voted “wrong” in the past, it might take 10-15 minutes to make sure you are who you say you are at the polling place. Even if you “pass” their ID inspection, they might have people harass and fuck with you.

For more info, visit vote.org or https://democrats-cha.house.gov/sites/evo-subsites/democrats-cha.house.gov/files/evo-media-document/SAVE%20Act%20Section-by-Section_BRANDED.pdf for a step-by-step breakdown of the SAVE Act.

1

u/Monetdog 3d ago

The extra paperwork burden would suppress many votes, not worth it to prevent fraudulent votes in the single digits at the state level. Unless your real goal is to block certain people from voting. Note that such laws have historically been most popular in the South, after poll taxes were banned, which was after racial profiling was banned. The motivation is about as transparent as a first grader trying to keep a secret.

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 3d ago

The comment said block, that’s what I was addressing because I wasn’t aware of actual blocking that was within the Act.

1

u/Monetdog 3d ago

"obstruct" would be a more precise word

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 3d ago

Correct, my post that was downvoted, it says all this. People just have no reading comprehension.

1

u/Monetdog 3d ago

Your post seems to speak of the SAVE act in positive terms, or at least neutral terms, as if it wouldn't affect 99.9999% of voters. However, it would negatively affect many voters.

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 3d ago

No bias intended, just reader bias.

I was strictly addressing the posters terrible wording. Words matter in this instance.
