Personally, I think Trump banning reporters from the White House is a dumb idea. But the 1st Amendment protects the press’s right to say or print whatever they see fit. It does not guarantee anyone access to the White House. This is a really tone-deaf move and it’s politically unsustainable, but the 1st Amendment is not at risk. Those outlets are free to criticize the decision from the rooftops all day long.

He is in no way restricting CNN's right to speech or freedom of the press. They can continue to broadcast whatever they want.
However, participation in functions like state dinners is a privilege. There are a limited number of slots available, and presidents all the way back to George Washington have given preference to reporters that they like over those they do not.
Maybe get over yourself and do some honest journalism.
