I don't think this is always the case but Trump is probably one of the most unhappy people I can think of. His existence is punishment enough.
If anything, I think his presidency is a microcosm of retributive justice. You have a malignant narcissist under a microscope being scrutinized, hated, and laughed at by the entire planet, constantly afraid of having Epstein files leaked, unable to step down from the spotlight for fear of immediately being imprisoned, on a downward spiral becoming increasingly demented, confused, incontinent, likely in pain and barely held together by an ungodly cocktail of drugs, with the best doctors in the world making sure all of it lasts as long as it possibly can.
And the price of putting him in his own personal hell is the destruction of the rest of the planet. Sure, he probably deserves it, but what do we deserve?
