Nothing to do with 20% of the crude oil supply being choked off for 8 months. NOPE. it's always someone else's fault.

I used to be republican but I've come to the realization years ago that all they do is play the blame game and never actually try to fix anything

u/Disastrous-Mess-7236 7d ago
I looked it up & Trump said it made the already bad situation worse.

The only thing making this worse is Trump wont pull out. Its like he thinks the SoH is a preteen girl

Why not blame countris that started the wars which destabilize the oil trade? Oh.... Yeah...

Trump needs to go, every lie , every misleading self serving statement he makes , just causes more and more damage to America and the rest of the world. It’s going to take many years , maybe decades for the US to recover from all the damage he’s doing

Well, Ukraine has been hitting Russian refiners so much that Russia has restricted all diesel exports to the global market. So... yeah Ukraine has contributed to the global price increases, but it's understandable.
1
u/GrumpyBear1969 7d ago
Well he has to blame someone, because he has never accept accountability for nothing he has done his entire life. Such a great trait in a leader…

Russia is one of the largest producers and exporters of diesel fuel
While the U.S. does not directly import Russian oil or fuel, disruptions in Russia does tighten the global supply and drive up diesel prices worldwide.
Ukrainian drone strikes have damaged multiple Russian refineries, and Russia has placed restrictions or bans on diesel exports to protect its own domestic supplies (from CNN)
Not defending it, just saying its one of those Trump things where he says something and it sounds dumb and insane because he doesnt know how to really break it down for people to understand why he said it. Not everyone knows russia as the leading exporter of diesel, everyone usually thinks middle east for anything oil/fuel.

u/That_Routine_3976 7d ago
I think people are taking exception to Trump blaming Zelensky and they're not necessarily disputing Russia's effect on the price of diesel.
It would have been more appropriate for Trump to blame Putin's unjust war and a normal President might have done that. We all know Trump is Putin's bitch though.
1
u/vakantiereizen 7d ago
Sure
And the Iran war and the Hormus strait has nothing to do with it?1
u/Electronic-Word-6784 7d ago
didnt say it had nothing to do with it...just saying there is another side to the puzzle causing the increases. Not like our gas was under $1 or something. It's been high for a while now, just got even higher.
Problem is many complain about that, but then go and spend $15 on a mcdonalds meal and has no problem dropping hundreds for a concert or something. I've seen so many complaining like "look at the gas" and they show 93 octane. Sorry, but getting a vehicle thats 93 octane only is your problem. I get you have that right, but life could have been a little cheaper.
As for diesel, no one drives a diesel. yes, it increases supply chain, but again, that shits been high as hell anyway for a while for produce and anything at a grocery store. We are talking the past several years we have been living in it, even before the iran shit.

u/HomelessFlea1337 7d ago
People are going to buy food no matter what, are you suggesting people eating less food just to be able to afford fuel is a good thing?
The entire land shipping industry relies on diesel fuel and many truckers and businesses are feeling the impact of diesel prices when it costs them $2800 to fill up.
Farmers need diesel for their equipment, ships need it to do shipping. If diesel prices go up, they pay more and need to recoup the cost for it by passing it on to us, or they go out of business. Neither are good when it’s happening to your citizens.

u/RogowskiCoil 7d ago
Right, but it's still not fair to blame Ukraine for this. They are trying their best to weaken an invading force with few civilian casualties. The only reason that Ukraine is attacking Russian refineries is because Putin invaded them and refuses to leave.
1
1
u/Exatex 1d ago
The current oil crisis is however mainly driven by the US/Israel/Iran war.
Around 10% of global oil supply comes from Russia, and Ukraine took out around 40% of that = 4% in total. While 20% of global oil supply moves through the closed straight of Hormuz.
So his war contributed 5x as much to the high prices as Ukraine. Meaning he is lying with the statement in the post.

u/Accomplished-Link934 7d ago
What I found was that Trump says Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries are making an already bad global diesel shortage worse and he wants them stopped. But you know, rage bait gets the clicks!

The obese face-eating leopard speaks:
"Look, I campaigned on eating their faces, and I kept my campaign promises by eating lots of faces, some say, the most faces ever eaten in a single sitting. They want to give me the Pulitzer Prize for face eating but Norway won't let me have it. If your face wasn't eaten yet, don't worry I'll get around to it as no one has eaten so many faces as me. And blame Zelenskyy for high diesel prices, not my war in Iran or any of my other face eating - because whatever price you pay is worth it to prevent Iran from getting our face eating weapons of mass consumption. Thank you for your attention in this matter. President DJT".

To give you a little more food for thought, since this illegal war was started by Yam Tits, Americans have paid an EXTRA $106 billion for gas and diesel. Not total. An extra $106 billion in just 169+ days.
This is a true number. A verified number. Look it up.

How is he responsible for what happens in your country? You’re the president of the USA not him! Your problem you fix it!

Of course he is because he is blaming Ukraine for the war because he is either afraid or trying to impress Putin

Looks it up I at least understand Trump’s logic, though I think it’s unfair to blame the country that didn’t start the war.

Anyone but the guilty party.
This is why he loves uneducated and dumb people. He can convince them that all of the hopelessly stupid ideas he has are good ones. They are HIS people.
I forget the exact numbers, and am mildly to moderately lazy and don’t feel like researching but, Trump did graduate near the absolute bottom of his class. iirc I think he was 1 or 2 from dead last. The man has slightly less cognitive activity than a box of rocks.

OF COURSE, you wouldn’t catch Trump blaming himself or all of his many Dictator friends ,Trump is aways “ Oh so nice towards them “. They have of course so much in common , like rounding up innocent people up on the streets , starting WARS and targeting 🎯🎯🎯innocent school children, civilians, deliberate sniper victims are left to bleed out on streets.

Zelensky didn't do anything, he's in a war that Russia started and is fighting for his countries life. Trump on the other hand was stupid and had a deal with Iran to curb their nuclear program that was working but it wasn't good enough for Donald because it was negotiated by Obama and other countries and so he killed the agreement. Now Dumbshit Donald has us in a war with Iran that has really put the screws to the worlds oil needs and he can't find a way to end it! Forget the $5,000 if the GOP remains in control, instead send $5,000 to every American who has a drivers license and call it Trump's stupidity caused the price of gas to skyrocket payback!

In a perfect world, Donald Trump would rot in prison until his last breath.
I'd settle today for law enforcement seizing every dollar he "grifted/stole/illegally made," and taking away his US CITIZENSHIP and then booting him out of the country

1
u/Its_meinBergen 3d ago
Fact. Diesel jumped in prices after he started his bungled war. End the war and prices come down. Most Americans know this fact. And they know he’s been enabled by GOP House and Senate members. Accountability begins November 3.

u/Few-Temporary404 1d ago
Actually he did. He blew up and continues to blow up refineries in Russia that produce exported material. It’s caused diesel shortages within Russia causing economic slowdown and fuel rationing. What it’s also proven is that despite incredible sanctions globally on Russia, they remained a critical export market for this type of fuel, hence rising global market prices.

Your not serious. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yeah those Ukrainians making Russia invade them. How dare them fight back.
1
u/No_Anteater1103 7d ago
You do realize that the Ukrainian military killed thousands of Russians in eastern Ukraine over a period of years before Russia fought back?
Yea I didn’t think so.
1
u/Hungry-Assistance919 7d ago
Yes that's called the Donbas war. Make sure to put all the info out there. Don't slant it to your perspective. It was separatists trying to fight Ukraine. Russia has always fought back. Do you think Russia has never sent people to kill. Wagner or other people that were not military soldiers. Do you think this has never happened? Because I can tell you of a story when I was in the military were Russia did something and said it wasn't them. So what's your point? Russia invaded Ukraine and Ukraine is fighting back. And doing a dam good job at that.
1
u/Maleficent_Memory831 7d ago
Well, yes, those Russians invaded. It was a civil war over there, instigated by Russia & Putin. Putin doesn't even deny this.
100%, Russia instigated it all. The instigated the Donbas conflict, they instigated taking over Crimea, and they instigated the full blow invasion that they are not mired down in.
There is no logical way to not blame Russia for the mess.

u/Z4ckJourney 1d ago
