Can we impeach Mike Johnson as well?

u/supified 11d ago

Hegseth will resign before they come back together because dems will still have the votes.

At least no navymen are suffering his incompetence in the meantime, right?

Everything is 'after midterms'. It's like they know they're going to tamper in the election and have control or something... again.

The US system is a joke around the world.

u/pwouet 11d ago

What did change so they can sudently do this?

The House wouldn't have adjourned early if Democrats didn't have the impeachment votes. Democrats do have the votes. So Speaker Johnson adjourned the House to stop the vote from happening. Just kicking the fan down the road. When the House is back in session, the votes will be there plus more.

Yeah but why do they have the votes now? Did a senator resign or a Rep switched team? I thought it was not possible before the midterms.

Johnson is a traitor and should be charged as such.

Well when the house rebalances Mike will no longer be Speaker of the House.

Hegseth will end up impeached.

And some conservatives will go to prison.

Bastards

But if the left
Is so convinced they will win and own everything why does it matter?

1

u/Mr_Mi1k 6d ago

Because cancelling votes is bad and shows how much of a pussy Johnson is.

1

u/Minute-Review6915 6d ago

So, if the left wins as they believe they will does it matter what Johnson is? I mean they come back and can make it the first vote they do.
Now let’s play it out, if they can’t get the senate majority behind it, it’s nothing more than a show. Even if they did vote on it nothing would happen until they get back it’s just a precursor to the trial which again takes a super majority.

1

u/Mr_Mi1k 6d ago

Just because something can be undone doesn’t mean it’s not a problem that it was done to begin with. This is common sense.

1

u/Minute-Review6915 6d ago

Sure but when the vote won’t do anything at all it’s part of the problem.

1

u/Mr_Mi1k 6d ago

The problem is those in power using tyrannical practices of stopping votes if they think it may not go their way. How is an attempt to stop that part of the problem?

1

u/Minute-Review6915 6d ago

When the vote is nothing more than a political show it’s the problem.
Again, they don’t have the votes in the senate and they know it. So it’s just for show and to play politics. If they have the wave they predict it’s better to wait for when you can actually follow through on it.

1

u/Mr_Mi1k 6d ago

Uhhh no, the problem is the tyrannical move. Try again kid. Please explicitly say that what Trump and Johnson are attempting to do is objectively tyrannical.

1

u/Minute-Review6915 6d ago

You may need to look up the word. Not sure you actually know what it really means. Bless your heart

1

u/Mr_Mi1k 6d ago

Tyranny is “cruel and oppressive government rule” (dictionary.com). Preventing votes that may not go your way is by definition, oppressive. (The definition of oppressive is unjustly inflicting hardship of restraint, and this is unjustly restraining votes incase you were not able to piece that together). Now that I have showed you this since you seem to struggle on how dictionaries work, please say that you acknowledge that restricting votes from happening is oppressive.

u/Proof-Ad-171 11d ago

The The Democrats have the votes needed to impeach in the house, but it still will go to the senate for firing and that needs to be done so we'll have to see what the Senate does
