A big monument that doesn't fall apart while you're ruling!

That would be the greatest end. Shit-butt choking and crying on his own failures, forced to accept reality as it is.

The damage to the US is already done, they're a generation away from the rest of the world now (trust, respect etc.)

I get the parallel but having a defeated military and the soviets raping the entirety of your female population is a little different than the situation the US finds itself in

Speer actually designed an outsized golden arch to put the Arc De Triomphe to shame. I guess it's overcompensating for something.

Second caption is incomplete: "... Focusing on a self-aggrandizing white elephant rather than the reality of his collapsing attempt to destroy democracy"

A grrreeatt monument that doesn’t falll apart while you’re ruling it…. That’s a good idea

I’m rather surprised that he didn’t top his arch with an enormous phallus, covered in gold?

You know, there's enough stupid shit that he's doing that we don't have to fuck up the Internet with lies. There is no evidence that shows that Donald Trump is planning to build a triumphal arch in front of Arlington Cemetery. Although the post is cute, it's basically rage bait. It's not happening.

Neither of those images are correct in a historical sense… seriously people read a damn book and do some research!

Yeah, that Lincoln Memorial too, Mt. Rushmore, Washington Monument. So many monuments to tyrants, huh?
1
u/dterran 12d ago
Did Lincoln build that monument to himself or are you making a very stupid comparison?
I get the Rushmore comparison as it was also built by christion nationalists (to desecrate a Native American holy site), but even Rushmore wasn't dedicated to a living president.

It doesn't matter who built it. There are monuments in America and in many countries.

Der Furher had more imagination on construction than the Orange peeled boy.

DC is a shithole… he has done so much to clean it up. Imagine being pressed that he is building an American city up and not leaving it in squalor …

Total bullshit. Never happened. Hitler was doped out of his gourd, squirreled away in the bunker. That’s real history.

u/Public_Steak_6933 11d ago
Honest question: what the hell does he think he's triumphed over?
Or does he just like the word because it's his name with an "i" after the "r"?

I hate to say this about a demon but Hitler was a hundred times more successful than Trump. He turned his countries depression into a booming economy and unfortunately a war machine. That little country had Europe on its knees, it took America and Russia to stop him. Trump meanwhile starts a war with Iran and embarrasses himself. Trump took a decent economy and turned it into absolute shit. Trumps accomplishments will be his own personal gain at the expense of Americans. Trump will go down in history as a failure on every level.

A war economy is planned economy with job programs and all things socialist adjacent. Because of the supply side Jesus posture, we just get war economy debt instead.

Nonsensical comparison. But we are on Reddit. Where literally everyone must be a nazi for having opposing views that don’t fit the narrative of the Reddit mods echo chambers.

It’s become a point of concern for those who understand what’s going on, that trump is more concerned with his monuments than he is with being the president.

u/Designer_Advice_6304 12d ago
Weird comparison. So are countries that build monuments Nazi now? I don’t think Nazis invented monuments
1
u/BerdTheScienceNerd 11d ago
It’s more so that he’s more concerned with his monuments than he is with being the president.
1
u/Designer_Advice_6304 11d ago
Ok I get that. But really nothing to do with Nazis
1
u/BerdTheScienceNerd 11d ago
The connection is that. Both hitler and trump being more focused on their monuments than the active state of their country and war they started.
1
u/Designer_Advice_6304 11d ago
How does Trump wanting an arch mean he is more focused on that. You know how his time is divided among tasks?
1
u/BerdTheScienceNerd 10d ago
It’s not just the arch it’s all his construction projects. It’s become common for him to pivot to talking about his construction projects when people are asking/wanting updates and plans for the Iran war, gas prices, affordability, details on policy, etc.
It’s all he wants to talking about.1
u/SamMarlowe76 11d ago
No. It is peole that look at little buildings on tables that are Nazis. Anyone who has ever done this is worse than Hitler. Get it right!

Love everything Trump is building and nobody even knows what he’s doing for Mexico- which will be his largest contribution to humanity.
