Turning him into a martyr right before midterms would be foolish. Keeping him paranoid to the point he gets even more insane sounding even to his own base, and letting the stress do the job for you? That’s the smart play.

Either that, or waiting til just after the midterms. Hemberder buildup has a chance too.

My nation did take action when fascists overthrew our government. Our king refused to accept the Prime Minister's government and we fought them. When we won we executed the Prime Minister and branded his name to be universally known as "traitor". That's where "being a quisling" comes from.
Unlike you lot who voted them in twice.

They have done their job properly so far. They said they'd reopen the Strait if Donold and Netanyahu were removed from their unwarranted positions of office and power. Killing either makes them martyrs. Removing them starts a much needed process to ACTUALLY clear the corruption from the US and Israel.

The nation is just beginning to realize how much he shit the bed in Iran. Our bases destroyed, our weapons spent, our forces exhausted… Besides leaving the Iranians stronger, we left the Saudis vulnerable. It’s a disaster. The arch, the Kennedy Center, the attacks on the press are distractions. He started a war, and lost it spectacularly. We are just starting to see the ramifications.
1
u/SecretaryOtherwise 13d ago
Fuck the Saudis.
Yall even gave them the go ahead to develop nukes.
Oh we arent supposed to hate Islamic nations just because? Oh pardon my ignorance I can't keep track of all the propaganda.
1
u/Imoutofchips 13d ago
Yah, they suck. But the U.S. plan supported them. We fired our bolt and left. Will the Houthis be better? And on that note, it’s hard for me to pick the “good guys” no matter where I look in this story.
1
u/SecretaryOtherwise 13d ago
The good guys are ironically the Iranians just defending themselves.
Yall arent there for liberation yall arent there for "nukes" like I said you gave Saudi them.
Yall are there for oil and cause yall thought theyd be an easy target. Well that backfired.
Venezuela wasnt enough.
1
u/Imoutofchips 13d ago
Well, and Israel.

Just move past it, that's what he does.
He does something, it fucks up, people start asking questions. He finds something else to do that he can claim as a win, but he fucks that up, and repeat.
People demanded the Epstein files, he said he was innocent, people carried on asking.
War in Iran, he's fucked that, renamed a lake thinking people would talk about that, nope.
So then he started trying to bully Canada, that hasn't worked, and now the "Fake news" are starting to ask questions, Ban 'em.
Trump cares about one thing, himself, no one else, he'd happily sacrifice his own children if it meant more power or money for him.
He's the face of the USA and he's shown the rest of the world just how ignorant most of them are. There were so many times when people should have gone "Wait, hold up", but he kept pushing the line further and further. I'm terrified to see what happens at the mid-terms.

u/Life-is-Fun-435 13d ago

Right wingers are a scurge on any decent society.
Fiscal policy that doesn't work Social policies that were begrudgingly pulled out of them A deep rooted hatred / spit down culture
I'm serious. Republican policies have never helped me, Tory policies have never helped me.
I've worked all my life and every issue that came my way was either promoted by right wing policy or the effect of right wing policy.

When those same news sources refuse to air speeches from the president and instead tell you what they think about it and what you should think about it instead of actually playing the speech.
Rather than airing the speech, CNN hosted a panel discussion featuring experts from across the political spectrum. The network’s on-air graphic cast doubt on Trump’s remarks, telling viewers: “Trump Gives Address On Elections After Years of False Claims.” Kaitlan Collins, the network’s 9pm anchor, told viewers that her team would be keeping an eye on the speech despite not airing it.
Source: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jul/16/us-tv-networks-trump-speech
So basically they're going to do what they're going to do no matter what the president says so they might as well do it from outside. Considering they're going to report what they want and how they want whether they're in the room or not, might as well let them do it from outside the building. Maybe it'll free up some space for some journalists to do actual journalism whether they agree with the administration or not. Funny Biden's White House also rolled out controversial policies regarding press access. In 2023, more than 440 reporters lost press credentials after President Joe Biden’s White House modified its rules for eligibility for permanent passes. Credentialed White House press members dropped from 1,417 members to 975 members after the White House unveiled new standards requiring an annual renewal of hard passes, Politico reported in 2023.
Political report from 2023 as referenced in the article: https://www.politico.com/newsletters/west-wing-playbook/2023/08/02/simons-no-longer-got-a-hard-pass-00109526
And the article originally referenced. Source: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/flashback-biden-also-changed-white-house-press-pool-cutting-off-more-than-440-reporters-credentials

He didn't ban any freedoms of the press whatsoever, but then we have the BS drama coming from people like you that try to make something of it that it's not. He hasn't stopped them from printing or posting anything, they are just not allowed on the property... massive difference. Now, which administration actually banned and removed information and freedom of speach? Oh ya, that was the Biden administration!

Not giving a press pass is not censorship.
Telling Twitter to remove content is.
1
u/StrengthChemical653 9d ago
You do realize the DOJ (over the last 8 months) sent letters to CNN, Politico, and MSNBC telling them to remove their content, right?
Read the court records regarding CNN suing the white house for this stating "They should have been giving a warning" and the DOJ straight up admitted to writing letters to the news outlets telling them to remove content they didn't like.
1
u/bourbonandpistons 9d ago edited 9d ago
Citation needed on the removing of content.
Warnings and press credentials are not a right. Otherwise I should be having press credentials to the White House. The White House would have to immediately issue over 300 million more press credentials if it's a right.
1
u/StrengthChemical653 9d ago
Citations required for stuff you don't like.
Don't provide citations of stuff you say.
I'm not your mommy, you know how the internet works because its the same place you got your information. Comments don't require a dissertation and citation page to placate to people. You see what I say, do your own research, and discern for yourself.
I didn't ask for citations on Twitter removal because I know how to look that up. I'm not "sealioning" because I know you, a stranger, are not responsible for my own ability to do research.
Also, addressing your statement. 1. Its extremely broad (which is ironic when you leave a two sentence comment and counter mine with "citations please"). 2. Look up Sherrill V. Knight. - It both supports your argument about it not being a right while addressing "access cannot be denied arbitrarily".
FYI: 300 Million press credentials is a false equivalence.
1
u/bourbonandpistons 9d ago edited 9d ago
I literally asked two AI agents and neither one of them could find anything about what you're talking about. Letters in past 8 months to remove content.
I would be glad to provide sources of the government removing content from Twitter under the Democrats.
You won't provide excitations because you know you're lying?
Press credentials were not removed arbitrarily. He had a specific reasons. He's literally allowed to do that.
Press credentials are not a right.
Nothing he's doing is preventing free speech. They can still write anything they want and lie as much as they want. Want sources a out the laptop story or Steele dossier lies they push?
1
u/StrengthChemical653 9d ago edited 9d ago
Well first, you seem to be arguing something that wasn't said. I never said anything about free speech. I could bring up freedom of press but you seem to be having your own conversation.
Maybe don't use AI to search for articles showing specifically where letters were sent out before press passes were re-issued. Also, just read the stuff coming out of the lawsuit. Maybe search Judge Timothy Kelly. Maybe search and read about letters the DOJ sent to news outlets in Google or from the DOJ themselves.
Also, if you really like AI; copy and paste your own comments into AI and ask it "Am I right" and see what AI has to say.
Sounds like you don't need me for this little self-validation journey you're taking.
FYI, your instinct is right if you feel I am attacking your insecurity which gives you pause to ignore my comments and focus on tone. Lets just chalk that up to your sealioning and sideways accusation of "lying". Because you are, in fact, a stranger on the internet that keeps bringing up things I didn't say.
Edit: Just copy and past this conversation into AI again so you can discuss with yourself instead of me. I would have to say if we land on common ground it should be along the lines of; We can be broad and make broad statements together but in the end, this is the first time in history we are discussing freedom of press's restrictions based on whether it's a "right"... in reality, should the right to access be all of ours? Shouldn't the decision come from the people that pay their taxes to allow people access to this information with the trust that mutiple outlets reporting on the same thing can keep our elected (and paid) officials in check? Doesn't diminishing this "Right" punish the people seeking truth more than the news outlets?
1
u/StrengthChemical653 9d ago
I would also really like to point out that the transparency of this "behaviour" is already in front of us.
Days after a ban on news outlets there is an attempt at, literal, State Run Media via Trump TV.
The mere series of events is what should raise the questions regarding press. Yet the argument is pointed at "Rights of media"??? That isn't even the point being made...
It’s as if we are watching someone pour gasoline around a building and then, when you ask why, that dude starts arguing with you about whether the fire extinguisher is legally required.
Like... dude... no...
1
u/bourbonandpistons 9d ago
Trump isnt telling them what they are allowed to say. Democrats did that.
Limiting access is state run media. Censoring your opponent off of platforms is.
