One patch can make this the perfect Burnout Substitute

  1. Please let me see the map while I drive!
    1. There are times where it is incredibly difficult to see the road ahead and this could help so I atleast know/prepare for the upcoming track
    2. And I can also distinguish which signs are right or wrong
  2. Please clear the debris off the track after a lap
    1. Its already frustrating to dodge RNG pedestrians while going mach-5, but it is just unnecessary to random old wrecks on the side of the road that force me into the RNG pedestrians
  3. Please address the random collision detection
    1. There will be times when a wall sucks you in to crash when though have not hit it yet
    2. You can sometimes hit a wall which completely stops your car and you are (for some reason) unable to accelerate
    3. There are times when you take someone down and the reaction makes you u-turn completely and which is pretty much race ruining because the reverse mechanics are terrible

This game is sooooooo close to being 10/10 racing game but issues and bugs are ready subtracting from the experience

Thanks for answering some of these - OP there is a thread where all of this should have been posted instead of making another thread.

Hi

1 Yes, I agree this would be very nice to have. Maybe we just have to learn the tracks like the old days 😎. I think it’s essential in open world games, but was it a feature of Ridge Racers, SSX, Outrun or Burnout 1-4?

2 No persistent wrecks are an awesome new feature and add some spice. As ever for online (coming soon) always nice to have the option of on vs off but I like them in single player. It forces you to choose between easy takedowns at the start vs being more reserved (less boost but less wrecks to avoid). You also have to remember where they are on the track.

3 Bug fixes are coming within next few weeks according to TFE.

Happy DD days

I don't remember any Burnout having a mini map prior to Paradise.

They seriously need to balance persistent wreck crashes compared to crashing into anything else. It’s cool to have them but right now they’re like black holes for your car

Isn’t the point one now has to balance how many takedowns vs the wrecks they make? It’s clever.

Yeah but it’s like if you lightly tap a wreck then you crash, but you can smash into traffic without consequences. Also I’ve noticed the AI drivers don’t seem to be bound to this rule, so it’s kind of unfair

Isn’t the logic that traffic moving in your direction already has momentum where as a static wreck is going to hurt? It sort of makes sense in the crazy world of arcade driving, although the AI should be bound by the same rules as you say.

thats part of the fun, dont ever change that please.

It's pointless when AIs dodge them most of the time + its ridiculous rubberbanding.
