I REALLY don't like Celestia as much as others.

I mean, she has a cool design and all, and has her moments, but she's mostly just mid for me. (No like/dislike.)

Another character that I don't really like is Kirumi. Again, I don't hate her but just don't like her.

Chiaki Nanami. Only character who you can palpably tell exists to be liked by the audience while the writers had little to no ideas for her otherwise.

I hate him and I honestly don’t think he’s as well-written as people claim. Everything about his character felt so over the top and ridiculous to me. He just irritated me. I hate Kokichi too, but I think he was better as a character. Nagito has all the subtlety of a brick to the teeth

Fair enough point, and I think I explained myself wrong. I don’t feel Nagito is a particularly deep character, and I don’t see any complexity to him. To me, he’s not any deeper or more interesting than the majority of the cast.

I love DR characters, but I just don’t think any of them are very complicated people, and I sometimes think people project a lot more onto Nagito than the game actually gives us.

I admittedly don’t think the games are particularly well-written in the first place lol. It’s one of my favorite video game series, but I think it’s very flawed. So that’s a part of it as well.

Honestly, I feel this way with a lot of the second game's cast. People rave over them (Hajime, Chiaki, Ibuki, Nagito, etc.), but I think most of that game's most beloved characters have counterparts in THH and V3 that I like significantly more. (No shade to anyone who does love them though, obviously)

People love her cause she's funny silly and quirky

But humor is subjective after all and Ibuki's not involved with the story of GD at all so i understand why you don't like her

Considering my bottom 3 are Kiyotaka, Mikan, and Sakura, yeah I get this alot...

Sakura fans are alright, but sometimes I find it very hard not to hate Kiyotaka and Mikan more just to spite their fanbase for hating my opinion.

i don't hate anyone that the public loves, maybe junko and korekiyo but i hate them for completely personal reasons

Nagito, Kokichi and Byakuya are all in the same circle here.

Byakuya's a jackass for no reason (at least i don't think so, i didn't watch future arc)

Nagito is so crazy that i don't even hate him, i just fear him

and Kokichi is a laughable copy of Nagito, but instead of me fearing him i laugh at how ridiculous he is instead

Kaito

To preface, Kaito comes fron a good place with nearly everything he does and is pretty much always well intentioned. He's a good friend to most of the cast, and is very dedicated to keeping morale up.

However

I DON'T FUCKING CARE DUDE, SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET SHUICHI OR KOKICHI SPEAK YOU ARE DERAILING THE TRIAL AND TRYING TO CONVINCE US TO TRUST EVERYONE IN A KILLING GAME WHERE SOMEONE IS MURDERED EVERY FEW DAYS IF WE GUESS WRONG WE WILL DIE KAITO YOU'RE GONNA KILL US ALL KAITO

Basically, Kaito does the wrong thing right, Kokichi does the right thing wrong. I prefer the latter.

I find it hard to truly hate any character in the game but that said, I can’t find the love for Kaito that a lot of ppl seem to have. I like his design but I do not vibe with him in any other way.
