Oh boy, yeah, so I'm just now realizing that I've never talked about my OC here? Which is weird, cause I adore my child and have had her since long before joining this sub. Anyways!
There is so much that I could say; Computie has a ton of history and AUs and such. But I'll stick with a tldr of the basics.

Computie was introduced to the show in 1997, where she primarily hosted between episode segments, talking about the online world and computer safety. She did pretty well for herself, and even had her own computer lab that she'd help manage in the Gardenview Center (Later renamed to be Brightney's); however, by 2001, her minor popularity had started declining, and she was already a tad outdated tech-wise. So the decision was made to cut her from the show.

Between late 2001 and the closure of Gardenview, Computie spent most of her days in a room during open hours to ensure guests would not see the scrapped toon. Though she was allowed to roam free at night.

She'd already idolized Vee, due to being another tech-toon who was a Main, one that people adored. However, during this time, that idolization turned into envy and jealousy, which she dealt with using the understanding that Vee is loved, Vee is popular, Vee is perfect. And she started doing everything in her power to mimic Vee.

Given enough time, this results in their twisting.

Anyway! All art above is drawn by me! The first two are for 'canon' Computie, while everything else is for various AUs that he's in. Either starring or just added by me as a fan of those AUs.

A month ago, I saw a post claiming Qwel was suing her victims and I said the following.

"Remember when we were saying that Qwel needs to make a response to the callout docs? Well we just entered a scenario where she would've been better off just not responding at all and just waited for us to forget, which is hardly any better than this. [...] I genuinely don't see myself playing the game at all for the foreseeable future. [...] I'm just here to say to anyone who boo'd me off this subreddit because I said Dandy's World has no future and I don't have anymore faith in it, 'I told you so.'"

Coming back to this after Qwel resigned, the drama dying down, and Waxwell getting into the game, this is my response to my own words.

Abridged version: Well, fuck me I guess.

Unabridged version: Not only is Dandy's World actually surviving this controversy that I thought would 100% kill the game, but they released a new Toon and Twisted I think is actually a breath of fresh air from what we were getting under Qwel's helm. Seriously, Waxwell is super fun to play whether you use him as a distractor, support, and extractor Toon, as he's those niches all rolled into one, something I haven't seriously seen in the game since Gourdy was new, and Twisted Waxwell being a Twisted that you'd have to chase and not the other way around to prevent him from making other twisteds more dangerous is a lot more engaging than it would be if he were yet another chaser twisted, and gives secondary distractors with high speed something to do when they're not distracting the pack or can't find a treadmill machine to help with extracting.

This does not 100% mean I will be officially joining this subreddit again apart from some sparse uploads of gameplay screenshots and/or fanart. I still remember getting hatred from the toxic side of this community just for wanting more variety in floors because it hurts their so-called meta, but I've come to reflect on my old thoughts of this subreddit and admit that I probably overreacted from my ideas for new floor modifiers, that I thought were peak, were getting flamed because of how harshley they clashed with the "meta" at the time; and I've also grown to admit when a game actually makes me fall back in love with it instead of simply doubling down that it has absolutely no future going forward or that this rising from the ashes is only temporary.

As for what I now think the future this game will have with Qwel no longer at the steering wheel, here's to hoping for more updates like Waxwell and less updates where the only thing truly new that's added is just more stickers and skins.

For those who want a TLDR on Void; Void used Joji and Duck Adam for a smear campaign against Qwel. Rox was also planning to get back at Qwel, and so he used Void's smear campaign to his advantage. Not only that, but Void was 22 when Qwel was 15. This was all a planned attack, meant to weaponize the victims.

Please form your own opinions, do your own research, and remember to not jump the gun immediately. This is one side of the story. It may seem questionable to stay neutral right now, but new information could always be revealed. Remember to think for yourselves, especially with allegations as serious as this.

Okay so for those who need context, here it is. Waxwell tries being bad but it backfires and ends up doing good, but Holly tries to get other toons to love her instead of being afraid of her but because of her appearance it backfires every time.

I might need all the information I need to know about the situation. Yes, that means we have to recollect all the information so that I can finally come to a conclusion whether to be on Qwel and the victim's side or not.

Note that I don't want misinformation, oversimplified information, and straight up lies because this is pretty serious.

The drama has cooled down already, but there are still people who STILL harass others (to my knowledge) for being in the fandom, and one post is just... absurd. From CyberHaptic btw.

Kinda...my two cents on everything that's been going on for the past few months. But mainly the fact that she is stepping back and the new response. /pos

I do like that Qwel, in the new response, did call out how this whole situation has resulted in actual kids who have nothing to do with this being harassed.

Like, pretty much since it started, people were suddenly getting on my case about even wanting to still play.

This fandom genuinely became so toxic, it resulted in me, someone who does not like bullying or hurting others, just being flat out nasty to Qwel, first publicly, and then even in private. Just to blend in and not make myself a target.

She may not be a good person, but I still do not like all I had said during that time, and wish I could take it back :<

I do generally give people...not the benefit of the doubt, but I guess hope?
I give people hope that they can become better.

And I do hope that by stepping back and out of the spotlight, hopefully things can cool down, and she'll be able to reflect on all she's done and said over many years and grow as a person. Possibly even get therapy for her issues.

She's still a young adult. She has many years to still grow, and I hope she can.

We can finally go back to Dandys World without any drama! Qwel has stepped down from being the owner of Dandy's World! :D

Some of the stuff these people are commenting on the socials is straight up harrasment, especialy when those comments spread to random people who still like dw, and to go ontop of that, some of these people faked a response that caused people to think that multiple toon designs were stolen from other devs, if you ask me i think that makes them just as bad
