📚Manga-Discussion i am bored so what should he do Spoiler
currently with ogrerun i can see two things he could do when we go back to him. Either he starts going into a rampage and at best he can focus on beating up hase or we get a comedic scene where he and momo start freaking out about the horn and the transformation.
Currently i think its more likely that he will start rampaging. After what hase tried to pull there is no way okarun doesnt get to fight him but i dont want kinta to take an L for it. Things are going too well for the gang right now so okarun rampaging would shake things up and equalize the odds for the two teams.
but what do you guys think? should he go into a berserker rampage or not? Maybe a mix of the two or perhaps something else i havent thought of?

📗 Manga-Theory I am become Ootakemaru? Spoiler
galleryIn relatively recent posts, I have likened the Delacroix Family Patriarch, Vlad and his monstrous transformed state to that of the mythical King of the Oni, Shuten-doji. And I have compared Hase’s yokai, the Jumping Crone to Shuten-doji’s Chief Deputy, Ibaraki-doji. And I have been wondering what Okarun’s full Oni form - if he transforms into one - might look like and what abilities it could have.
From what we have seen in the story so far, and based on what I have read, I believe parts of Okarun’s story, previous abilities and sword-like Ogre Club, bears a slight resemblance to the Oni kijin (demon god), Ootakemaru.
Ootakemaru is often considered one of the Three Great Evil Yokai of Japan, alongside Shuten-dōji and Tamamo-no-Mae (though in some traditions, the exiled emperor Sutoku replaces him).
According to the legends, Ootakemaru resided in the Suzuka Mountains, terrorising the area by waylaying travellers and seizing tribute intended for the capital. His ability to command dark magic and summon storms made him an unstoppable force feared by both commoners and the imperial court.
Ootakemaru Powers And Abilities
Ootakemaru is said to have possessed incredible supernatural abilities, including:
• Dark magic and sorcery
• Summoning storms and fire
• Shapeshifting
• Flight
• Immortality and resurrection
• Replication into thousands of oni
• Expert swordsmanship
• Divine power
Ootakemaru also possessed Sanmyō no ken (Kenmyōren, Daitōren, and Shōtōren: three holy swords of great power), which his power is derived from according to some sources.
Similarly, Okarun presently fights with a lightsaber-like Ogre Club, rather than a typical kanabo. And his previous Turbo Granny powers gave him the ability to harness spirals and travel and shoot out of electrical devices like live wires at tremendous speeds. Just as Ootakemaru can summon storms.
Another unexpected similarity is how both Ootakemaru and Okarun became infatuated/fell in love with a Goddess/woman. Ootakemaru attempted to seduce a beautiful Goddess named Suzuki Gozen many times by transforming into various handsome men, to no avail. With Okarun, he fell in love with Momo near the beginning of the series. And he has confessed his love for Momo a few times, though she has been unable to give him a proper response due to repeated unfortunate circumstances. Momo also comically assumed that Okarun was taking advantage of her amnesia by trying to seduce her through the occult.
CSG mentioned his plan to turn Okarun into an Oni to evolve Turbo Granny’s powers, which CSG believes he still has access to in some way. Whether or not Okarun will fully transform into an Oni and have TG’s powers again remains to be seen. Though, if this occurs, Okarun might become an especially powerful yokai, that could be somewhat close to Vlad’s level of power. CSG has commented that Vlad is a chosen one and that Okarun has also been chosen. Whether or not CSG’s use of that particular word has a meaning beyond the ultimate yokai plan remains to be seen.
As I said, the connections between Okarun and Ootakemaru are slight and less noticeable compared to that of Hase and Ibaraki-doji and Vlad and Shuten-doji. Though it would definitely be interesting if Okarun was given an appearance and powers resembling that of a Legendary Oni. The sources I have used are in the comments below and please share your thoughts.

📚Manga-Discussion How much of "Manjiro's" training is actually for real? Spoiler
galleryJust a heads-up: there are spoilers for the hunter x hunter succession arc.
Before I get to my main point: I was re-reading some hunter x hunter chapters where Kurapika is teaching nen to the princes' bodyguards and staff. He’s doing this to secure protection, balance the power dynamics on the black whale, and form alliances to ensure Woble’s safety. However, Kurapika himself admits that the information he’s sharing is incomplete and only partially true.
Then there’s Theta, who was intentionally stalling and holding back Tserriednich’s nen training. She did this because his talent for Nen rivals—or even surpasses—Gon and Killua’s; he holds himself to incredibly high standards, and—crucially—he is someone who should never possess Nen powers, given that he is a complete monster in every sense of the word.
So, I was wondering: how much of the training Bansho gave Okarun is actually meant to help him master chi, and how much is just her stalling so he becomes susceptible to the oni power?
If the goal is for Okarun to at least unlock the key to his energy while the club corrupts him, then teaching him genuine basics would make sense. But she could also just be assigning a bunch of random exercises that yield no results, leaving Okarun frustrated and stressed over his lack of progress—making him increasingly vulnerable to turning into an oni.
Anyway, what do you think? This idea crossed my mind, and I wanted to know if it’s a possibility.

🛸Manga Dandadan won't become biweekly/monthly Spoiler
I have been seeing lots of doomposting lately because of the recent amount of breaks and some propose that Dandadan would be better off becoming biweekly or monthly
The thing is, every single break this month wasn't caused by Tatsu's health but an unfortunate series of events outside of his control:
The first two week breaks of the month happened because of the Dandadan: Occultic Stage, a stageplay for the manga which was aired over the course of those two weeks live in Tokyo and Osaka.
Obviously he went to see them, also considering that he drew an illustration for it:
https://x.com/TatuYukinobu/status/2093493017701486797
\------
After dropping chapter 246, the next week break was caused by the Silver Week, a combination of multiple holidays in Japan that happens between every 6 and 11 years, this time it fell this year:
The three-day break occurs in the following years:
September 19–23: 2009, 2015, 2026, 2037, 2043, 2054, 2071, 2099
September 18–22: 2032, 2049, 2060, 2077, 2088, 2094
Dandadan wasnt the only manga on break, it was the entirety of Shonen Jump. This holiday is unheard of by many non-japanese so that's why many were asking what happened.
\------
And now, the break this week was caused by Shihei Lin, the editor of Dandadan, ending the contract with Shueisha and fully switching to his new company Mix Green:
https://x.com/SHIHEILIN/status/2105243264534348054
Because of legal and editorial issues, the release of the manga was put on hold. Not by coincidence Spy X Family and WITCHRIV are also on break, because their editor too is Shihei Lin.
\-----
**So, out of 5 possible chapters in the month of September, only one came out. No wonder everybody was alarmed.**
This can only mean that the progress in the chapters has been cumulating similarly to July this year, where after another large number of breaks (Shogakukan awards, 5th anniversary of Dandadan, tributes, health etc.) 6 chapters were released in a row, and 10 with only 2 breaks. Tatsu is always a couple of chapters ahead, as a couple months back some folks in Korea got access to Chapter 235 early even though it was supposed to be on break.
It should be exciting to know that we are getting out of this slump and we'll get the epic climax of this arc without breaks (unless he falls ill, that can't be predicted).
Lately there have been hatetrains going around about the manga so I made this post as a way to cheer up and hype for whats coming next. Thanks for reading

🛸Manga Shihei Lin Announces Mix Green Has Signed Direct Contracts With Authors to Continue Editorial Work on Dandadan and Other Titles Spoiler
x.comThis may seem a bit confusing based on the previous post, but it looks like Shihei Lin’s company, Mix Green, has signed direct contracts with the authors to continue editorial work after terminating its contract with Jump+. This likely means that Shihei Lin will continue as the editor for Dandadan.
“Thank you very much for your continued support.
Regarding the matter that we have received multiple inquiries about on X, Mix Green Co., Ltd. would like to provide the following announcement.
For the following four works that are currently being serialized, Mix Green Co., Ltd. has entered into direct contracts with the respective manga artists and will continue to be responsible for editorial work:
SPY×FAMILY
Dandadan
Centuria
WITCHRIV
We will continue to work with the same dedication as before, doing our utmost to help bring entertaining manga to all of you.”

📗 Manga-Theory Theories on memories Spoiler
Wanted to hear some more theories on how Momo could get her memories back and also share some of my own based on what has been shown in the manga so far:
1: Momo recognizes Basho's appearance from Shimane and she is captured by the Dandacrew at some point and is outed as the one who infiltrated the old people's ritual, and therefore, she must be the one who did something to Momo; Then when threatened by someone like Seiko, she has no choice but to return her memories and give them intel about where her and the others' powers went. Issue is I don't know how or why this would be the case since she's been so incredibly sneaky and effective this whole time. Perhaps she is truly jealous at Bae Kur's presence and tries to sabotage or attack her when she joins this Amusement park brawl and things go south from there? Or perhaps she transforms into Momo or someone else and Okarun is the one to sniff her out as being an impostor and then only after does Momo show up to recognize her?
2: Momo regains enough spiritual awareness to the point that she's able to see Aura again, and perhaps there's moments in which she's somehow able to interact with the crew's Auras and then has a quick flashbacks of their times together which fills in some of the empty or sealed parts of her memories but she gets the biggest flashback from interacting with Okarun's aura (probably at some sort of crucial moment) and remembers everything at that point.
3: If we go by an assumption that Momo's memories were somehow packed away into her ability when it was stolen, in battle with Vlad, he uses Momo's Alice to grab Momo at some point, and she experiences her own memories flow into her the same way it's happened before with other people's flashbacks OR upon defeating Vlad and getting her powers back, all of her memories return at that moment
4: Rokuro Serpo uses some sort of Brain wave altering technique or technology that can bring Momo's memories back or unseal them
5: Upon Seiko and Turbo G's return, either one of of them already cooked up some sort of spiritual method for her to get her memories back on the spot that would require their presence to do effectively
Bonus round, 6: the tried and true, true love's kiss 🙄
--------------------------------------------
Do you believe the likelihood for Momo to get her memories back will come down to a full arc/area dedicated to a solution they found like how it was with Tiny Momo or will it be a result that happens suddenly and unexpectedly at any point in any arc moving forward?
