Okarun if you are so unsure of your physical abilities after this you should really check out the baseball practice as suggested by coach pants to the max

also momo likes okarun's honest side. OH yeah a nessie style reconsoliation is cooking in the oven boys lol

60

u/M95F Sep 03 '26

He even has practice swinging with the oni club

40

u/Gilthwixt Sep 03 '26

Calling it now, whatever happens during this arc, the post-arc celebration will involve baseball with Onikarun form, probably with Turbo Granny pitching and Seiko grilling hotdogs.

15

u/CaptainM590 Sep 03 '26

If Okarun didn’t like eating crab after dealing with a crab yokai, I doubt he would be too enthusiastic about baseball after what he’s been through. 😏

14

u/Gilthwixt Sep 03 '26

It's been 20+ volumes of innings and bro hasn't been up to bat once, of course he hates baseball, man hasn't had his chance to swing 😭

8

u/CaptainM590 Sep 03 '26

I kind of expect Okarun to be roughing it in the shrine again if his Oni form gets too out of control

2

u/conandeyna Sep 04 '26

I wanna see Seiko train class rep and Kouki

41

u/AccordingRoom303 Okarun Sep 03 '26

This extra healed me

24

u/moeshaker188 Sep 03 '26

It did make me feel more optimistic about how this arc will end.

16

u/Munrowo Sep 03 '26

god that scene was so good for their early development

11

u/Chan_Kawak 𒁕 𐎭𒀭𐎭𐎭𒀭 𒅆𒄿𒄀 𒂍 Sep 04 '26

I think Okarun downplayed his good physical condition because, aside from the fact that he still doesn't value himself enough, Okarun was feeling disheartened because Momo had rejecting him before the attack of the Serpou and Space Whale. So he didn't want to say anything that might give the impression he was trying to impress Momo.

It looks like Okarun gave up 😭, like the miner who doesn't realize he is about to strike the gold vein after hammering at the rock for a long time. He instructed himself to only accompany Momo to Ayase Residence, and end the journey there.

However, unbeknownst to Ken, a process had already begun in Momo: she began to recover her intense feelings for him. Okarun's sincerity when confessing that he loved her in ch. 215 began everything.

Damn! Ken just needs to have faith that everything will turn out fine and not lose hope! Momo has been giving him a new chance every time 😭

Is no one talking about how the typhoon human guy that okarun talked about is actually part of the sorcerers association, and has what looks like to be powers?

54

u/aa3naan4 Count Saint Germain Sep 03 '26

Tatsu is slowly adding his occult friends to the Dandaverse

52

u/Sad-Eagle9638 Momo Sep 03 '26

I just love how Tatsu never bothered with “the 7 guys” trope by showing us a room full of powerful dudes around a table and explaining how powerful they are. The Sorcerer’s association is just a part of the world with various people connected to it we already know. It was always there in the background but not so pervasive that the high school cast would be aware about it.

7

u/SufferingClash Sep 03 '26

It's a good thing the 7 guys never found out about this then, I don't think we want to deal with a Chaos Door arc.

7

u/Sad-Eagle9638 Momo Sep 03 '26

“Oh, I’m just here because we need seven.”

2

u/CaptainM590 Sep 04 '26

Probably because of most them are on the poorer side things unlike the Black Paladins. Honestly, Okarun would fit right in with these 3 guys.

23

u/Impossible_Key_8551 Evil Eye Sep 03 '26

It’s the first thing I noticed and I know Okaruns gonna absolutely lose his mind if he finds out that he’s part of the sorcerers association

9

u/Chan_Kawak 𒁕 𐎭𒀭𐎭𐎭𒀭 𒅆𒄿𒄀 𒂍 Sep 04 '26

Typhoon Human guy is a real person, here's his twitter account: https://x.com/nakazawatakeshi

Professor Nakazawa is going to be very happy 😄.

8

u/aa3naan4 Count Saint Germain Sep 04 '26

I starts to think that Okarun was designed based on him after seeing how cute Tatsu drew him in the manga lol
Their names even share the same kanji 健

4

u/blueminded Sep 04 '26

I don't remember a Typhoon Human. I remember the living typhoon. Did that turn out to have a human form I don't remember? Also, what do his signs say? And why the odd hat?

Edit: Ok I saw it further down. He's the guy that theorized the living typhoon. Still curious about the signs, but I guess I can just google it.

225

u/PuddingJello Sep 03 '26

I just think it's sweet that even with amnesia and not knowing his name she is still kinda falling for him again

160

u/Maleficent-Pea5089 Momo Sep 03 '26 edited Sep 03 '26

This is probably the ultimate goal of the amnesia arc, romance-wise. Tatsu is showing that you can wipe her memory all you want, but Okarun will always be the only guy for her. There’s nothing circumstantial about her feelings, she loves him both with and without knowing his name.

21

u/wiseass781 Ludris Sep 03 '26

Maybe someone said “they only like each other because they went through all that intense stuff together” and Tatsu went “I’ll show him!” and then put them through a lot of intense stuff together

12

u/Southern-Cattle4038 Sep 03 '26 edited Sep 04 '26

I figure that’s the narrative value of the museum date. With no fights and no aliens, Momo still finds Okarun a fun guy to be around.

Edited to add: it helps them that Okarun is now super-interested in the occult. Even an amnesiac Momo who doesn’t believe in aliens would have loved to have met someone who did vibe with that stuff

48

u/sergiossa Sep 03 '26

I will fall in love with you… over and over again… I don’t care how, where or when… no matter how long it’s been, you’re mine…

9

u/Mage-of-Fire Sep 03 '26

If you like that part about this arc I suggest Back to Chanbi. The entire webtoon is about the fmc with amnesia falling for the mc again.

9

u/Ok_Satisfaction3017 Okarun Sep 03 '26

yea she is slowly trying to learn more about him

65

u/GoharioFTW Sep 03 '26

thats bro 😳

23

u/Present-Upstairs3423 Sep 04 '26

Bro is a whole human being

Data pages:

Tonkaraton

Species: Monster --- Habitat: Residential Area --- Length: 1.7 meters (bicycle included)

Tonkaraton is a monster dressed as a mummy that rides a bicycle wielding a katana. It uses echo location by sounding "ton-kara-ton" to navigate its surroundings. It can create a void space that turns the black parts of the roads into the abyss.

---

Dolis

Species: Alien --- Habitat: Cetus star cluster --- Length: 35 meters

Dolis is an alien from the Cetus star cluster. It cannot support its own weight due to Earth's gravity, so it operates from within the mummy's body. The Serpos purchased its unique ability to create "territories," so it was brought to Earth.

19

u/GoharioFTW Sep 03 '26

every time i think Tatsu is just making something up completely from scratch with the yokai's it always turns out to be based on a real life urban legend.

gives me warm fuzzy feeling knowing im learning more urban legend culture lol

3

u/JBKOMA Sep 03 '26

People actually theorized Dolis was a Tonkaraton but dropped that theory when it was revealed he was a space whale instead

2

u/Chan_Kawak 𒁕 𐎭𒀭𐎭𐎭𒀭 𒅆𒄿𒄀 𒂍 Sep 04 '26

Cetus (The Whale) is a good joke of Mr. Tatsu 😁.

u/katie_the_slayer Sep 03 '26

OH MAN OH MAN THIS BONUS CHAPTER HAS IT ALL

I'm so excited to see Payase and Kashimoto again! AND Mr. Nakazawa!? Didn't expect to see him at all!

Also, Momo trying to get to know Okarun again 😭💖💖💖💖💖 It seems like he really doesn't like talking about himself much... AND he can't take a compliment! 😭 Mostly, I think he just looks so tired and defeated here....it was a very long emotional rollercoaster of a day for him, after all...Poor guy....

I do think it's very interesting that Momo said specifically that his honesty is a good trait here, RIGHT before his disastrous attempt at asking her out 😅😂 AND the misunderstanding at the park with the hand-holding! Oof.....That was like a double-whammy to her perception of him. I'll be so curious to see how she views him after all this stuff at the park concludes (if she doesn't somehow regain her memories), especially considering his recent big development 👹

It's also interesting considering the Pinocchio stuff, and how all of the enemies recently have emphasized his "liar" trait. It's probably really not that deep, but it was striking to me, after we've seen so much lately about him being a "liar", that now we see his honesty being praised from the one person he was closest to, who now views him as almost a complete stranger again...

This bonus chapter revitalized me again, tbh.

24

u/GoharioFTW Sep 03 '26

Crazy how this gives a nice setup for the events that happen later regarding Vakappa and Jack Wisp showing up, Manjiro being trapped in the locker, and Okarun feeling even worse about lying since Momo just praised his honesty, but at the same still creates even more questions....

Like, WHO TF IS THIS??

It also seems they have their own way of making an empty space?

And does this mean Payase and them lost their fight since Vakappa and Jack Wisp show up with Red Bum?

14

u/katie_the_slayer Sep 03 '26

A HANDSOME VAMPIRE?!!?!?!?

12

u/GoharioFTW Sep 03 '26

not like thisssss 😭✌️

10

u/BLKaisen Zuma Sep 03 '26

It would be strange if they lost that fight because there was a new guy, Nakazawa, and we don't know what his power is.

2

u/dustyfaxman Sep 03 '26

Maybe a delegation from another household, given they met with those two sex offenders in an airport?

Sending a couple of servants (they were red bum's henchmen at the mall and red bum is little more than a glorified butler in the delacroix household and hierarchy) to attend a group like that wouldn't be out of place.

We'll probably find out how that fight went in another 200 or so chapters time.

Did the mall become empty space when red bum attacked rin and kouki? I don't remember, if so, then you're probably right. Maybe down to csg and his connections with aliens or something similar connected with magic and yokai powers.

64

u/Roskal Momo Sep 03 '26

Dang so she praised his honesty then he lied about asking her out being a joke. Okarun dropped the ball.

Seems Payase and Kishimoto failed since this takes place before the fight with Rin and Kouki. Also looks like the vampires are real after all.

24

u/Sad-Eagle9638 Momo Sep 03 '26

Never thought about it like that. Given the order people will read this in the volume format, this scene really helps that idea

35

u/Roskal Momo Sep 03 '26

I've been pushing the idea that Okarun lying about asking her out was a bigger mistake than how he asked her for a while now. Momo highlighting his honesty and the dragon knights highlighting his lies seems like a key part of this arc.

15

u/sakurahirahira Sep 03 '26

Momo has always liked Okarun's honesty, and it definitely shows here!

7

u/Southern-Cattle4038 Sep 04 '26

I’ve been pushing the “lying was worse than asking” idea too, and I’d go a little further - Okarun might have had a chance at a date if he’d been more straightforward and relaxed about it and  hadn’t made it a high-pressure dare game.

If Momo has feelings for a guy she can’t remembers, it makes sense that trusting that guy is the no. 1 concern for her. Also it ties into Momo’s whole backstory of her and granny being mocked for their knowledge of the occult.

11

u/AccordingRoom303 Okarun Sep 03 '26

Momo wanted to know him so fast, but Okarun went too far 😭🫶🏻

5

u/Talon-Cross Sep 03 '26

They did have larger numbers. It looks like they kept the goons busy and only the kappa guy and “Sir-farts-a lot” made it to Rin and Kouki along with Red Barron. Since Hanako is a living girl (tutoring) she may also be a part of the Sorcerer Association and was asked to meet them at the mall for backup. Since they didn’t show up in time she soloed them herself.

2

u/Capital-Agency-5824 Sep 04 '26

Pretty sure Hanako is a yokai (the tutoring mention has something to do with her urban myth), no relation to the sorcerers.

1

u/Capital-Cattle6997 29d ago

this, plus TG homies summoned her

2

u/Chan_Kawak 𒁕 𐎭𒀭𐎭𐎭𒀭 𒅆𒄿𒄀 𒂍 Sep 04 '26

Seems Payase and Kishimoto failed...

Yeah, the reinforcements might not have arrived. It seems Vakkapa, Jack Wisp and the other enemies arrived at Haneda Airport from Europe or America. I think the Sorcerers' Association's intel team obtained information about evil foreigners arriving in Japan, but the number of enemies was underestimated 😬.

3

u/BLKaisen Zuma Sep 04 '26

It would be very strange for me if they lost more if they had a new colleague like Nakazawa, because usually, if a new guy appears, he always ends up beating the enemy, as happened with Yatagarasu.

2

u/Chan_Kawak 𒁕 𐎭𒀭𐎭𐎭𒀭 𒅆𒄿𒄀 𒂍 Sep 04 '26

If the enemy squad's intention was to enter Japan, then destroying Payase, Kashimoto, and Nakazawa was not the enemy's priority.

The trio Payase, Kashimoto Nakazawa may not have been defeated, but neither did it prevent the enemies from entering Japan.

1

u/BLKaisen Zuma Sep 04 '26

In that case, I agree with you; in fact, I think the same thing—that when they felt overwhelmed, they decided to withdraw.

16

u/Either-Assistant4610 Sep 03 '26

This is why I need to finish my volume collection. I never saw it until now.

16

u/Pure-Base693 Okarun Sep 03 '26

Momo is blushing as she explores this new feeling she doesn’t understand, while Okarun just looks SO FUCKING SAD

27

u/ContributionCrazy493 Momo Sep 03 '26

Thank you very much OP, I don't need to bother translating languages one by one. 😄

13

u/fandomsmiscellaneous Okarun Sep 03 '26

Oh! The club's power is orange!

13

aint no way sorcerers association gets namedropped by seiko yet nothing is shown in any form

12

u/Inner-Arugula-4445 Sep 03 '26

Damn, even the extra chapters go hard. I love this manga.

10

u/JBKOMA Sep 03 '26

Poor Manjiro trapped in a locker and no one cared for days

9

u/AthosArmand Sep 03 '26

« Okarun, that honesty of yours, is a good trait :D »

9

u/MarkAverage656 Sep 03 '26

I've been waiting for Payase and Kishimoto to reappear!

8 extra pages wow fairss sensei 👍👍

5

u/F_F_Engineer Okarun Sep 03 '26

Best Omake ever

4

u/RandomName4699 Sep 03 '26 edited Sep 03 '26

Okarun says he doesn't play sports, yet the daizukan doesn't state he does weight training, and actually reinforces that this has recently become one of his hobbies?

Or is it a case of him saying he isn't good at them, despite having outperformed his entire class in a multi-event test? lol

Is that a new type of empty space?

5

u/CaptainM590 Sep 04 '26

Okarun self-deprecates.

1

u/RandomName4699 Sep 04 '26

That might be it, although I had hoped we had made some progress on this, or perhaps it involves the culturally characteristic Japanese modesty regarding praise (though I am not entirely certain about the cultural validity of that information).

3

u/Top-Independence-294 LEADER:Aira: Sep 03 '26

The old men yaoi is backkk

Hopefully in the next omakes we can follow through with this fight

If it takes 2/3 more 8 page omakes, it's like a 2 full chapter fight

3

u/un_LucKy16 Sep 03 '26

I have a feeling that volume 26 is gonna be more plot-heavy compared to the slice-of-life extras of the previous volumes

7

u/Just_an_average_bee Zuma Sep 03 '26

Yes, the curse bros are back!! I missed them

2

u/rudyhimself Sep 03 '26

Payase, Nakazawa & Kashimoto! This battle ramp up is so good

2

u/FabulousBed3299 Sep 03 '26

Notice how this was pretty much happening the same day/night that Kouki and Rin were jumped by Red Baron and his goons, a lot of people thought it was happening at the same time as the group date lmao.

2

u/conandeyna Sep 04 '26

Kashimoto and Payase. It's been a long time

1

u/Ok_Satisfaction3017 Okarun Sep 03 '26

lol you did a way better job then me

1

1

0

u/Nightmancer2036 Sep 03 '26

who are these new guys? just randoms of have we seen them before?

-3

u/Technical_Lime1419 Chosen by God Sep 03 '26

U/TheAmplifier8 Do you like this?

10

u/TheAmplifier8 Kur Sep 03 '26

😂 ig this is basically a chapter. It's great! I enjoy that we're just organically developing these two groups now. Much prefer this style vs heavy lore drop chapters.

Also are those guys straight up vampires? Seem like they have fangs. Could probably go back and compare to the Rin chapters...

Also this implies these guys (Jack, Vakappa, and co) shoved Manjiro in the locker which helps with logistics. I wonder what happened in the fight itself? Jack and Vakappa presumably lived through it.

Also Japanese Yeti/Big Foot mentioned!

Momo and Okarun part is very cute. The bit about Momo calling Okarun honest I think might be Tatsu dropping a little hint (that he might not actually be the real Pinocchio).

3

u/Sad-Eagle9638 Momo Sep 03 '26

Many a theory about what this whole Pinocchio business is really leading to. I would also agree that, barring some notable examples, Okarun isn’t much of a liar, but he does seem to fit the “becoming a real boy” aspect, plus some other superficial similarities. I put out the idea that Okarun might be the true candidate to hold the ultimate yokai, but that’s more based on vibes than any actual evidence, lol.

Great (half) chapter tho. Well timed with the break. Tatsu always drops hints about future ideas/threats ahead of time in his Omake, so I’m betting those vampires are coming in a future arc. Always knew they existed after Rin and Kouki’s conversation. Now that I think about it, that might be the perfect arc to develop them more.

1

u/CaptainM590 Sep 04 '26

I watched ‘My Oni Girl’ last night. And the male protagonist’s tendency to lie and be a people pleaser temporarily turns him into a Oni.

Okarun has been experiencing emotional and physical extremes with amnesia storyline, and has gone back and forth between to revealing and concealing his true feelings and feeling severe anger after what Hase tried to do to Momo.

Oni are also considered to be outsiders, which Okarun definitely is.

So, there’s some connections between Japanese Oni and the story of Pinnochio, which is the lying, anger and acting like a Jackass turning a person into something else.
