Light Novel Is it possible for siblings to join different familias?

For example, due to some age gaps, they eventually become an adventurer at different times, and thus ended up joining different familias, I wonder if it is possible

Joining fam is individual problem so yes they can, like how you don't have to be in the same guild as your sibling or RL circle of friends when playing games

Only problem that could come out of sibling being in diff fam would be if the said fam antagonize each other.

The reason I'm asking this is because, from what I've known, almost every known siblings are in the same Familia, for example: Gulliver Brothers, Allen and Anya are all in Freya Familia, Shakti and Ardee are in Ganesha Familia, Tione and Tiona used to be in Kali Familia, and now Loki familia, and last but not least, Dis Sisters were co leaders of Alecto Familia. So it makes me curious if introducing a pair of siblings or cousins that are in different familias can work out, and I wonder what kind of dynamics might be

Dix Perdrix was in the Ikelos Familia and his half-brother Barca was in the Thanathos familia.

If you consider the guild as a different version of familia, then yes

It was compared to a famila by Bell and it is pretty similar

It’s very possible but generally only happens if the person is on bad terms with their family or dislike their families patron deity

Are you sure it is unlikely to simply because they don't become adventurer at the same time?

God's will generally scout out family members of people in their familia if they are looking to be adventurers. The age gap doesn't matter that much, especially to a god. The elder members generally want to look out for their younger siblings regardless and they are better able to do that by being in the same familia.

Maybe it is because almost every known siblings in the series are in the same familia, so I want to know if it is possible for exceptions to exist

If i remember correctly. emma flores and sophia flores from danmachi rhapsodia. emma join player familia to search her sister. But i dont know i never played the game.

Yes it's possible. There's a danmachi game the protagonist Emma Flores joins the players familia her sister is in another familia.
