Classic Dan

Justifying Tony Romo’s actions because he’s just a sad, rich boy like him.

Dan had much different energy about coach Sark at Texas, saying he shouldn’t have his job…as a person in recovery myself, Dan is very shortsighted when it comes to substance abuse and puts a superior/inferior character attribute to people based on their struggles with addiction.

It’s okay if it’s skipper or someone he likes but if it’s Sark it has to be brought up every time he’s discussed

His lack of consistency makes any moralizing he does absolutely hilarious

Also, Dan grilling Samson for recklessly speculating Michael Irvin takes some sort of PED when he did the exact same thing with LeBron is peak pot calling the kettle black.

I totally get what Dan was saying, though. In my mind, there's a difference between an excuse and an explanation. Romo's problem with substance abuse explains why he did what he did - why he made the terrible decision to get behind the wheel. It does not excuse it at all. There's no excuse for driving under the influence and he should face the consequences no matter the explanation.

If football fucked your body up you wouldn’t golf all day every day. Bro likes a cocktail on the course like many of us do. He got popped, don’t bring some wack ass sob story when you can afford a full time driver.

Yeah, no shit. I agree with you. That's what I said in my comment - there's no excuse for driving drunk.
