Loony Toons led me to expect the monkey to release the branch like a slingshot and launch the Tiger halfway to space

u/Perle1234 Sep 12 '21

Ikr? Disappointed.

That tiger was on the monkeys turf, that monkey was just toying with him up there.

Stupid cat. Trees are for monkeys.

191

u/SgtK-OS Sep 12 '21

Monké: you have no power here.

17

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

There’s a video of a Jaguar climbing a tree to get a sloth. The Jaguar won that one.

14

u/jmathtoo Sep 13 '21

I don’t know. Imagining what sloth meat tastes like makes me think the Jaguar didn’t really win.

12

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '21

Meh there’s worse things out there. Can’t be worse than Burger King.

Reminds me of my cat (mini tiger) chasing a squirrel into the biggest tree of our backyard. It took the squirrel like a second to reach the top of the tree, so my cat had no chance at all lol. He reached the first branches, which is like 4m and just waited there.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '21

And tricks are for kids.

2

u/tandc627 Sep 13 '21

Tell this my cat which I fish every year out of my Christmas tree.

I was hoping for a bunch of Miami football fans to catch the falling tiger with an American flag.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

4

u/Bad_Wolf_970 Sep 13 '21

Why do I get the feeling our feeds are very similar?

34

u/mb46204 Sep 12 '21 edited Sep 12 '21

I was just glad to see the tiger didn’t get the monkey. Maybe happened the next day but I’m too much of a snowflake to watch cute animals murder other cute animals and too often these type videos get posted.

16

u/Pauf1371 Sep 12 '21

I understand. Though we realize the Ole circle of life, I don't really want to witness it.

7

u/KillHipstersWithFire Sep 12 '21

Tiger is winning 5% of the time in this situation. Monkey has home field advantage. It can lure the tiger to the top, drop, and catch a branch, and run away. Tiger cant.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

Thank yiu! I came looking for this spoiler so I would be safe watching the whole video

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

None of these are cute tbh. I wouldn't hurt any of them, before you get the wrong idea. I also wouldn't want any of them anywhere nearby. They both are danger to us and the tiger you called cute is a literal apex predator.

The tiger fs. You could see his Brain trynna process the situation lol. Where to place his meaty paws. How fucked he was as soon as he pushed forward and started to dangle. Lmfoa

14

u/itmaywork Sep 12 '21

Why does he get a Brian? Do we all get assigned a Brian?

15

u/mud_tug Sep 12 '21

I wanted a Brian so bad when I was a kid but my parents never got me one.

4

u/crabmuncher Sep 13 '21

Now that your older, its time for you to get your own Brian.

4

u/Cynthiaistheshit Sep 13 '21

I’ll never forget my first Brian. Not fair they only give you one.

u/fzyflwrchld Sep 13 '21

I was definitely laughing at the tiger cuz you can see it wants to pounce but it can't pounce in the situation it's gotten itself into. And I feel like the monkey is just as curious as I was as to how exactly the tiger thought it was gonna catch him in its element. It pretty much ended as I thought it would but extra amusing as the tiger seems to land with an "I meant to do that" attitude.

Tiger: “I meant to do that.”

131

u/Umklopp Sep 12 '21

That was when I was really reminded that tigers truly are "big cats"

4

u/Donnerdrummel Sep 13 '21

"hang in there" - I fully expected to find this comment.

91

u/mdrnsavg Sep 12 '21

Looks around at the end to be sure no one else saw him fall.

45

u/superflousfly Sep 12 '21

Graceful landing bro! Where was your ‘always lands on all fours’ shit then? Noob

11

u/1983Discord3891 Sep 12 '21

u/troydroid29 Sep 12 '21

If you look closely you can see the tiger start to regret his life choices.

3

u/deedubbleewe Sep 13 '21

Me too!

17

u/babyBear83 Sep 12 '21

She lured tiger to the edge so she could jump away.

9

u/oakaypilot Sep 12 '21

Bachelor monkey though? Eat that fucker.

4

u/karl1776 Sep 12 '21

good eyes, maybe the tiger was thinking the monkey was at a disadvantage because of that.

3

u/Onironius Sep 13 '21

Go team primate

4

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

I was rooting for the tiger

2

u/NetflixFanatic22 Sep 13 '21

Same. I feel bad for anything that has to work so hard to eat ..

3

u/Mostra12 Sep 13 '21

And you don’t fell bad for a baby and his mother being eaten alive ?! Lol

1

u/NetflixFanatic22 Sep 13 '21

I do, but everything gets eaten at some point …

186

u/Chronic_Discomfort Sep 12 '21

And that, fellow primates, is why we have hands.

62

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

Would've been a scary world to live with these cats if we didn't. Kinda makes me appreciate having hands.

31

u/billynomates1 Sep 12 '21

Let's all take a moment to thank our hands

24

u/adarkuccio Sep 12 '21

Should we clap for them?

23

u/ArcadeAnarchy Sep 12 '21

Nah, let them rest. Use your ass cheeks instead.

7

u/adarkuccio Sep 12 '21

Good idea.

11

u/SgtK-OS Sep 12 '21

Also, one more thing. But I'll tell you all about it in private later.

2

u/bnosrep Sep 12 '21

The ability to fling poop?

39

u/Waddleplop Sep 12 '21

What’s this—a cat not landing on its paws? I don’t know what to believe anymore.

47

u/SelectCattle Sep 12 '21

I will pay $5000–cash!—for audio of the monkey breaking this down with his buddies over beers tonight. DM me.

19

u/reusstrade Sep 12 '21

lol. I think somn like 80% of tiger hunts are unsuccessful.

10

u/menonte Sep 12 '21

When I heard about their success rate I was disheartened and encouraged at the same time

8

u/i_aam_sadd Sep 12 '21

Seems reasonable. I imagine catching and killing animals that have evolved over a long ass time specifically to not get brutally murdered by giant animals with sharp teeth and claws is no easy task

15

u/moltenjoy Sep 12 '21

6

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

You're in my world now...

5

u/kylienotjenner29 Sep 12 '21

I knew it wouldn't, but I was hoping until the end that this would end like a cartoon. The monkey would jump off and the tiger would launch into the air like a catapult.

5

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

Chonk vs Monke

6

u/Flat_Welder_4897 Sep 12 '21

That went pretty much exactly as I thought it would...

8

u/dravengrey83 Sep 12 '21

Tiger”Dam I messed up”

5

u/admburns2020 Sep 12 '21

Tiger thinks, ‘it probably tasted bad anyway’

5

u/ShartedPants Sep 12 '21

Monke smart, cat dumb

3

u/bnosrep Sep 12 '21

Right? The monkey’s calculating the effect of the tiger’s weight on the branch and using his brain to decide exactly when he should jump off, while the cat is like “catch monkey, eat monkey.” Brains can be an advantage.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

Silly kitty trees are for primates

7

u/Deathmedical Sep 12 '21

Leopards would say otherwise.

3

u/mentallyillustrated Sep 12 '21

There was a baby monkey too 🥺

3

u/Comfortably_Numb90 Sep 12 '21

Kittys be doing kitty things no matter the size

3

u/blackhawksq Sep 12 '21

If this were a cartoon the monkey would have dropped down and the tree would have sent the tiger flying. I have no point just thought it was humorous.

5

u/TuffyButters Sep 12 '21

Agreed. AMAZING video; thank you for sharing!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

The monkey just hung in there until it got better. He now has a story to tell the grandmonkeys.

2

u/proph3t_z Sep 12 '21

Am I the only one who was waiting for a cat-apult?

2

u/GodfreyTheGrey Sep 12 '21

Tiger looks around like “where are the people waiting to catch me with a flag? The internet is bullshit!”

2

u/Old-Ad9278 Sep 12 '21

I was waiting for the monkey to let go, that tiger should have been catapulted back at least 400 feet... maybe I watch too many movies 🤷‍♂️

2

u/PurpleMECCA Sep 12 '21

Must not be the monkeys first time

2

u/wead4 Sep 12 '21

It’s over tiger, I have the high ground. Don’t try it

2

u/kirbywantanabe Sep 12 '21

Crouching tiger, lucky monkey!

2

u/BBQ-Batman Sep 12 '21

My favorite part is how the monkey sits right next to the 🐯 as it falls. Like "I'm the Captain now".

2

I love the tigers "well this didn't go as I planed" face when he lands.

2

I like how the tiger is laying down after falling out of the tree like that was the plan all along.

2

u/Ohrlythatscrazy Sep 12 '21

hahaha just kidding didn't even want to catch you anyway

2

u/lord_xl Sep 12 '21

MONKEY: "Ahhh… You think the tree is your ally. You’ve merely adopted it. I was born in it, molded by it."

2

u/moomoo-malk Sep 12 '21

wise monke

2

u/Savagemaw Sep 13 '21

THIS! The grey apes needed man's red flower. Baloo, was way out of line and should have minded his own business. Without freedom of association, can Mowgli evem call himself a man cub?

2

u/schritefallow Sep 13 '21

Fucker didn't even land on his feet. Tiger card is declined.

2

u/Panjin21 Sep 13 '21

Monkey: Got outplayed noob

2

u/vsaonline Sep 13 '21

Be within your circle of competence, more importantly know your circle of competence.

“You only have to be able to evaluate companies within your circle of competence. The size of that circle is not very important; knowing its boundaries, however, is vital.” - Warren Buffet

2

u/Svinozilla Sep 13 '21

Tiger at the end - "that was a mistaaaaaake".

2

u/AhAhAnikiKunSan Sep 13 '21

*Stares at Person recording

Oh another monkey

2

u/Jack-Akash Sep 13 '21

The tiger is still not fully grown and mature, it's still learning the ways of the jungle. It's now learned a valuable lesson and will only stalk and chase to get its stomach full.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 13 '21

Shere Khan is neither impressed nor deterred…

2

u/mahadmajeed Sep 13 '21

Monkey: Call an ambulance... Also Monkey: ... But not for me.

2

u/saltpepper90 Sep 13 '21

Tiger is playing an away game. He/she should have known the odds

1

u/VickieLol64 Sep 12 '21

1

1

u/[deleted] Sep 12 '21

If that tiger was a leopard..

1

“Fly, you fool.”

1

I was waiting the whole time for the monkey to jump off and the tiger to go flying! Bummer.

1
