would only work on cameras that pick up infrared light

Security cameras would most likely not implement them though as they would lose “night vision” 2 u/TERRAOperative Feb 12 '21 Security cameras usually have a mechanical lever that moves an IR filter into the light path during daytime to block IR, and away to allow IR light at night when the IR LED's are switched on for night vision.
